So...is there some sort of black market for eggs and milk?

How on earth do egg and milk consumption go in times of snow? There wasn't a drop at Safeway. I was laughing with the guy stocking the bread that he was everyone's favorite person and was way higher on my list then whoever delivered the milk.

But is there a black market? Some small little grocery store that hoards the milk and sells it for $5 a gallon. Because I may be close to be willing to pay. My boy needs his "miiiiiiillllllkkkkkk!!!!"

Plenty of milk and eggs in Va, but no vegetables or grapes.

Giant near my house (Falls Church) was fairly well stocked. One woman was panicked because there was no organic milk left, but other than that, there was a decent supply of things (except Doritos of all things).

Yeah, what's with the grapes shortage??

I've got an unopened carton of organic skim....$20 OBO.

I posted about Trader Joes in Bethesda on another thread but at 5:30 today they had plenty of bread, eggs, regular and organic milk and regular and organic bananas.

Harris Teeter has eggs, milk and enough bananas to please King Kong. At least as of this afternoon.

Anybody knows the situation of the Bethesda Giant?

The one on Arlington is completely empty. I mean EMPTY. No produce, dairy, meats, bread. Empty.

I live in Annapolis, my Safeway was stocked with essentials on Friday morning but totally out of things that were on sale. Random things like OJ, nuts, some chips, ground beef was thinned out. Oh and they had obviously run out of bananas because they had just restocked with all green ones! A friend of mine went to Giant at the same time and they were out of eggs and some meats.

The hub scored bananas and grapes (and kiwi!) at trader joes. no milk.

Arlington folks, head on out to the Giant at Rt. 7 and Shreve Rd. (exit 66 on rt. 66, rt. 7 east). They had milk, eggs, bread, produce, etc. It was crowded but not insane.
