Most don't care, at all. Americans have only a passing understanding of the royals, to their credit. But I'd wager that many Americans, if asked about Prince Harry, would lean fairly sympathetic.

Why doesn't he find out by trying to go around with just a first and last name? Like normal people that he claims he wants to be? It’s a lot of behind the scenes work securing financial commitments from corporations. Yes, Harry made an appearance and Meghan will be featured on the streaming version of the concert next week, but let’s not forget their main contribution is getting the money to pay for the vaccines.

I promise you that these kinds of activations take months and months of pre-planning, even if just to work out scheduling. They definitely didn't just call up Global Citizen a week before and show up, if that's what you're suggesting.

Assume that the brothers are not mad with each other, William might somehow envy Harry for his freedom. It sucks to have to follow all the protocols and be nice to the dirty vicious British tabloids. American press is actually less petty, and American people are more generous.

This. American media sucks big time in a lot of ways, but my god the British press seem horrific and terribly unethical.

And yes, Americans are definitely more open and warm, generally speaking.
