Most don't care, at all. Americans have only a passing understanding of the royals, to their credit. But I'd wager that many Americans, if asked about Prince Harry, would lean fairly sympathetic. |
I don't think she attended, but you have to remember she's also heavily pregnant. |
She’s presenting via video link - her appearance will be on the Saturday feed of the concert |
Great to hear. Curious to see what she says. |
More likely he is “incandescent with rage” to borrow his own wording from one of their many leaks |
LOL no you don't but you collapse in delight at the feet of a man introduce as the duke. |
Did it have anything to do with him being a "duke" or did it have more to do with him being seen as an outsider who stuck it to the establishment? |
Why doesn't he find out by trying to go around with just a first and last name? Like normal people that he claims he wants to be? LOL yes he is sticking it to the establishment while fighting to extract as many perks as possible. Yes I'm leaving you but where is my security and my title and my kids' titles. |
Since many people don’t understand, Harry and Meghan’s role as campaign chairs means leading corporate fundraising efforts. It’s a lot of behind the scenes work securing financial commitments from corporations. Yes, Harry made an appearance and Meghan will be featured on the streaming version of the concert next week, but let’s not forget their main contribution is getting the money to pay for the vaccines. |
Ha! I’ll happily call anyone by a title if they raise millions (billions?) for Covid Vaccines! He can be King Harry if he’s able to pull it off. |
It is a much bigger world here. |
Right? For a concert that's been planned for months and months, they show up a week before the concert and raise millions. Because that's how that works. |
I promise you that these kinds of activations take months and months of pre-planning, even if just to work out scheduling. They definitely didn't just call up Global Citizen a week before and show up, if that's what you're suggesting. |
Assume that the brothers are not mad with each other, William might somehow envy Harry for his freedom. It sucks to have to follow all the protocols and be nice to the dirty vicious British tabloids. American press is actually less petty, and American people are more generous. |
This. American media sucks big time in a lot of ways, but my god the British press seem horrific and terribly unethical. And yes, Americans are definitely more open and warm, generally speaking. |
