A thread of optimism: why do you think Trump will win in 2020?

...still waiting! Eight people who talked with Axios is not a poll.

Meanwhile...

”After being briefed on a devastating 17-state poll conducted by his campaign pollster, Tony Fabrizio, Mr. Trump told aides to deny that his internal polling showed him trailing Mr. Biden in many of the states he needs to win, even though he is also trailing in public polls from key states like Texas, Michigan and Pennsylvania. And when top-line details of the polling leaked, including numbers showing the president lagging in a cluster of critical Rust Belt states, Mr. Trump instructed aides to say publicly that other data showed him doing well.”

The liar’s go to strategy is always to lie. He thinks he can simply fake his way to a win. He must really think Americans and especially his cult are stupid. No wonder he called his voter the “poorly educated” and they would vote for him even if he shot someone on 5th street.

Voters here who switched from Barack Obama to Donald Trump are sticking with Trump in 2020....

What they're saying:

Tara Biddle, a 37-year-old kindergarten teacher, said although she's not completely happy with Trump, she'd only switch candidates if they picked up where he left off.
"I would be willing to vote for someone other than Trump who would continue the initiatives he's started" with the economy, tariffs and immigration, she said.
Others said Trump should be able to serve two full terms. "When I changed my vote I gave him eight years," said 62-year-old David R.
“He’s the best looking food on the buffet right now," said 28-year-old Matt G. about Trump compared to all the Democrats running for president.
They didn't offer much criticism. One man, 52-year-old Tim G., offered: "The only thing I would say, I'd like someone to get his Twitter account away."

The rest of the group agreed, but no one was ready to dump Trump.
They're not disappointed that he hasn't accomplished more: “The swamp might’ve been a little tougher than he thought it was,” said Vince K.
And their reaction to the Mueller report and the congressional investigations? A big yawn.
“You could investigate every president; they’re all shady," said Jessica G. "Let’s just move on and let him do his job.”

Anecdotes are a dime a dozen. Anyone can google and post dozens of anecdotes about TRUMP voters who aren’t gonna vote for him.

But more scientific polling data suggests that a majority of Americans have seen through his fraud, corruption, lies and reality TV presidency where everyone plays their part even when nothing changes on the ground.

DP.

Actually you are deluding yourself.

Polls show that most Trump 2016 voters are satisfied with his work so far, for reasons similar to the focus group linked above -- the economy, trade renegotiation, immigration, draining the swamp, judges appointed...

Whether that will be enough and whether he will be able to attract new voters remain to be seen. We will only see relevant poll data once Dems have a candidate and a platform.

Ok, this is hilarious but also sad because you probably actually believe it. The "same people who support the Kardashians" are the liberal Hollywood types and the liberal twits who watch their show. But you knew that. Nice try.

My unhinged pal: Democrats are looking at polls that say a dingleberry could beat Trump in Texas and we are still terrified of losing. We are terrified of everything. Meanwhile Trump supporters are the ones crowing about how their melon head is unbeatable.

I think you need to look up what the word "complacent" means.

nope

Hollywood is divided. When Kanye showed his support for Trump (didn't vote, but voiced it), he was thrown away by liberal Hollywood and by DCUM libs, too. do

The Conservatives:

John Voight
Gary Sinise
Ted Nugent
Kid Rock

to name a few

Polls are bullsh*t.

2016 - Polls may have been in favor of Hill but she didn't win.

Remember that people responding to polls are civics-minded. So you'll get a specific crew of folks - on both ends of the spectrum - responding . . . in other words, not a TRUE reading

You all are stupid for getting all hot and bothered over polls in June 2019.

Not that divided - there was one neighborhood in Beverly Hills that went for Trump (and according to this reporting, it was mostly because the people there didn't like Clinton)

https://www.latimes.com/local/lanow/la-me-westside-trump-20161110-story.html

And Clinton got more than 70 percent of the vote in LA: https://www.latimes.com/nation/politics/trailguide/la-na-election-day-2016-hillary-clinton-gets-71-of-the-vote-in-1478674895-htmlstory.html

Sorry but what is your evidence that Hollywood is "divided"? Outside of the Nuge, I mean?

42% of Americans approve of his work so far:
