The FBI isn’t investing her claim. I don’t doubt her claim because of the convo I had with her years ago. Given the context of the conversation, I don’t think she is lying. I think something happened.

The child IS being targeted. She is being used by the cartoonist putting words in her mouth that suggest she believes those awful things are true about her own father. I don't know how anyone could attempt to justify that hideous behavior. Imagine how she'll feel the day she sees that. It won't be as far off as when she's old enough to find it on her own. How long will it be before it is shown to her by a classmate taunting her with it? It will be used in a second way to target her.

So Brett should have never publicly talked about her prayers. He introduced the topic and the cartoonist ran worth it. Both of them were wrong.

I think the cartoon is awful and the cartoonist should be ashamed HOWEVER Brett Kavanaugh himself brought up his daughter. He introduced her to the conversation about him and his alleged crimes. He mention her in a anecdotal story meant to to garner support and admiration for how "good" his family and, by extension he, are. Therefore the major blame for the cartoon rest on KAVANAUGH. He should be utterly ashamed of himself for USING his CHILD in order to help himself. That is DISGUSTING. I am a parent and I would never ever USE one of my children like that. I doubt many parents would. Its despicable.

Why's that? Because disgusting people will use anything they can to dig a knife in you and he should've known this about liberals? And disgusting people on DCUM will defend it and even blame him for it? I think a lot of people got really burned up that he mentioned religion. Exploiting a child to generate sympathy in a public hearing == good;
Exploiting a child in a cartoon == bad;
Exploiting a child to generate anger on DCUM == good.

Your rules are complicated. Liberals can be forgiven for being confused.

See, you consider what Judge Kavanaugh said about his daughter as “exploiting.” That is not the way many of us viewed it. We saw it as him explaining the effect this whole circus is having on his family. That this crap has found its way into their very private time.
And, I agree with the pp who said the child was “targeted.” The cartoonist is mocking the child by putting words in her mouth.

He paraded his girls and their friends in front of the media. It had a “look I’m a family man” quality. Also it publically advertised he’s a father of girls so he is very sensitive of “female issues.” Pretty calculated, IMHO.

I don't know how you can make it sound different but equal to "exploit" your child by sharing something sweet and endearing that they said to show how false accusations have affected your family and to "exploit a child" by putting horrible and vile words in her mouth to entertain people who hate her father.
