Mclean held the power in that relationship. Say what you will about the recent few years but as a whole, the recruting to the next level ran through Mclean.

You're wrong here. Mclean SHOULD'VE held the power in the relationship, but they made a horrible deal when they merged. They were left with 1/3 of the power in the Union, which was the problem all along.

I don't think they had any choice. I don't think they had any say in decisions.

Waiting for announcements 🫣

Their administration/leadership is atrocious and you wonder why they are so disorganized?

And still better than the fake noisy neighbor that claims to do things better lmao just a regurgitated crappy copy from Temu

are you referring to Rev?

Oh, McLean had choices. They had a choice when they entered an alliance with SYC to make the boys side stronger. They should have realized SYC was going to immediately stab them in the back and move their boys to MLS Next within weeks of the announcement of the merger. Why would any club think they could trust SYC? They had a choice whether to form an alliance with Brave. They could have done something else, they chose wrong and partnered with a club whose soccer philosphy is vastly different from McLean's. Yes, I realize ECNL was threatening them, but there was other options. Once they realized they made another really bad choice and gave away 2/3 of their voting rights and their ECNL badge, they didn't have a choice but to take their lumps and go GA and MLS Next 2. But it was the previous bad choices that led to their current position. They are not blameless. But I guarantee you, if they could take back all their bad decisions, they would not be leaving ECNL for GA and MLS Next 2. This is not a coup for GA, McLean is not going to GA because they wanted to, but because they failed their way to the bottom. Now, if NVA announces they are going GA, then THAT is a win for GA because they chose to do it willingly, even if just to get the boys into MLS Next at the expense of the girls.

your girls will say otherwise in our nice amenities. Sucks for the families that drank the juice and sacrificed their daughters acls. The noisy neighbors can take care of them however .

maybe they are stuck trying to figure out how to spin it. Most of the girls aren’t tethered to older brothers who want mlsn and usynt invites and cant be bribed w invites to themselves.

Literally no reason for the girls to stay when compared to the other GA clubs nearby….

+1. At least they didn’t stay in the bad marriage of FVU. So I’ll give them credit for finally waking up.

Announcing to NVA players and parents tomorrow
Anonymous
NVA parents got an email about a NVA townhall happening tomorrow night to “discuss our league affiliation for the 2025-26 season”. There would be nothing to discuss if they’re staying ECNL…

If VRSC ever had a chance to become anything, is that now totally off the table when 5 miles down the road the OG’s have MLS next on tap? 🤫

For boys, yes. For girls, this will help CC put the FCV band back together.
