Just rip the bandaid off already!

They have to do two months of vetting in 10 days. So no, let's not rush this.

Cooper has pulled out.

That was there choice.
They could have made the switch 2 years ago.

They didn't.

It's not like these people came out of the supermarket.

They are known and have probably been on an inside list for years.

The longer the wait the less confident I am

Where did you see that?

Not surprised if true. Can't risk shenanigans happening in NC.

+1. Cooper would have been a decent pick. But was never a serious choice. He leaves the state, NC loses abortion.

With that statement, Think about the precarious situation we’re in here.

I think he also knew he wasn’t the pick but yes.

Copper is smart. He’s playing the long game.

So much chatter about Governor Tim Walz in recent days. That seems to be where the momentum is now. He would be an excellent pick - rural, Midwest, football coach, National Guard, represented a traditionally red district in Congress, popular two term governor, sense of humor, a common sense down to Earth vibe. Would be a solid pick for Harris.

That weirdo?

Alas, the person actually has to be weird for it to stick. So, no.

Who?
Who?

People with zero name recognition on the Politics channel are going to be liabilities that aren't even worth vetting when it comes to the nationwide exposure. People on this channel are already significantly more informed that the average voter across the country. The average voter is not going to want to have to do homework to go and vote. So, candidates like these unknowns are going to add zero to the ticket. At this point, Harris needs to keep her campaign moving forward. She can't afford to give up the VP bump and convention bump. She needs to pick a VP candidate that brings positive reception to her ticket. Neither of those two you suggested come close to adding anything.

I gather you're not a sportsball fan.

Slow your roll, good vetting takes time.

+1 let’s vet folks. And not end up with an alleged couch humper into porpoise sex who hates childless. Women. You will know the name by the Ohio ballot deadline. And if the Harris campaign is smart, not log before then, so Trump can’t dump Vance and get a better choice to offset ours.
