Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS)
|
I remember when Hayfield was a respectable school. This never would have happened under someone like Dave Tremaine.
It’s a joke of a school now. Might as well be in Alabama. |
| Refusing to play this team is the only way to communicate to the cheaters and fcps in a language they understand. |
|
It is completely normal and unremarkable for a 2400 student FCPS HS to beat a 3000 student FCPS high school 70-0. Nothing to see here! Please disperse! |
Agree. All they care about is winning so everyone should just refuse to play them. I would say thats a little unfair to the real Hayfield students but most of them don't seem to be playing at all even second halves. |
They will just play other schools and you would be helping the program more. Hayfield would have a reason to schedule teams that would draw larger crowds, more college scouts, and members of the press. They could schedule other perennial powerhouses like, WCAC schools, Martinsburg High, Highland Springs, Quince Orchard, Wise, and schools of that caliber on the Hayfield schedule. That would actually bring more money and notoriety to be the program. |
That's fine. No need for legit FCPS programs to be involved with their three ring circus of nonsense. |
Too late for this season to schedule anything so it would in fact hit em where it hurts this year. And, next year one FCPS team only playing other cheaters and private school would draw continued attention to the cheating, which is fine by me. |
This is all too often the culture of football . Mostly but not entirely an African American phenomenon. College programs like Clemson are essentially an evangelical entity, and the coach has used faith to recruit black players as the notion of a strong Christian fabric plays well in African American homes. They have baptisms on the playing field. Some Clemson professors filed a civil rights complaint but of course it went nowhere as king football reigns over everything at a place like Clemson. By the way, with the transfer portal and NIL money Clemson is no longer succeeding with this evangelical culture. Money and the immediate opportunity to play apparently matter more than Christian loyalty. Clemson has to move away from the Christian recruiting model to succeed and one can expect stubborn behavior from the two time national champion Coach. I was a scholarship athlete in college and disliked spending five minutes at Clemson. So in a sense I am not surprised at this happening at the high school level. What is surprising is FCPS letting it happen, but it appears pandering to the community is more important. A public school should not have a de facto team pastor. Troubling as well is the fact she refers herself as an apostle, a claim to authority so often found in cult like evangelical movements. A site like Wartburg Watch would be anll over this. She also rails against anti-intellectualism but anyone who thinks Christianity rewards high school football teams is not an intellectual. Note that in private if Christian beliefs make someone happy, great, but to make it a part of a public school program? As an aside it is a method to control and manipulate the kids. A poster many pages back said they only cared about grading practices and not some football team. I responded the issue was much deeper. Query what that poster would say if some apostle starting showing up a their school lecturing about sin. A train wreck really. |

It's a public high school program. There shouldn't be any religion involved whatsoever.
Why is this religious nutjob lurking around calling herself a coach? Who hired her? What is she doing on the sidelines of the games? |

Another "Apostle" friend of the first "Apostle"' has a son TV who was listed online as a Hayfield football player as of August 2024 but is not listed on the official roster. Maybe he's one of the cheaters who got caught and that's the relationship.

It’s not too late to schedule a few last minute games. The forfeits will just count as wins and an easier path into the postseason. You will only be helping the Hayfield program in the long run. Then in the post season, teams like Langley and Madison won’t forfeit when they have a legitimate shot at beating this team. |

Here's a video where she described herself as the "chaplain" of Freedom HS football (a public school). This is NOT a thing that should be happening in public school, wtf?

That's fine. Keeps FCPS HS players from getting hurt and makes Hayfield even less legitimate. I don't care if they win--it seems inevitable with all the best players from the DMV and southern VA on the same team--but I don't want the actual FCPS players to get hurt and playing them gives them legitimacy as if they were a real HS team (which they are not). |
If they beat a Concorde district team 70-0, no one on their regular season schedule even has a chance. |
| Forfeiting keeps them from playing so thats a good enough reason |
