Can someone explain this creepy religious nut claiming she was "hired" as a coach for the team? "Apostle Karen Bettis-Davis"

Her instagram is 'kbdavisworldwide"

She own an independent church with her husband in Fredericksburg and says she lives in Fredericksburg. She aparently has two sons, but they would not have played for Freedom (wrong county-she lives in Stafford) or for Hayfield.

Is it normal for PUBLIC HIGH SCHOOL football teams to hire religious quasi-coaches? She did something with the Freedom team last year, who knows what. Are they paying here? Is she volunteering? Is this kind of proselytizing allowed at a public school event?

She posted this:

Last night, she posted a smirking/laughing video from the SIDELINES of the Chantilly game. Only staff are allowed on the sidelines.

She took a picture of the 70-0 scoreboard and posted this:

One of her sons lists that he is from Fredericksburg but somehow attended Freedom HS (which is a public school in another county) to play HS football.

It just proves that Reid has no control over anything happening in FCPS besides the continued weakening of academic standards. Many of those recruited Hayfield players are likely functionally illiterate but getting passing grades so they can play football.

I think its weird that there are creepy pastors and other randoms mingling with a public high school team. Have back ground checks been run on all these people?

To be totally fair, if 30 kids on the team live elsewhere and just transfered into FCPS a month ago, any poor academics would not be FCPS's fault.

I would like to know why this person is being allowed on the sidelines like a coach for a public HS team.

I have basketball players but this is so weird and creepy to me. The only adults with access to the players on my sons teams are the HS coaching staff. They don't have proselytysing religious people hanging out on the bench with them posting video selfies mocking the other team. I mean, that's just so WEIRD.

Why is a pastor or whatever she is being allowed to post that she is a coach for a public high school team? Is she a volunteer? Was a background check run? What is she doing on the sidelines? What is her specific role?

Well, some of the kids came from Stafford apparently as well as all over PWC and also various private schools. I can't imagine this much changing schools would be good for anyone's academics.

Almost the whole team was educated outside of FCPS prior to September so while the ENTIRE SITUATION is FCPS's fault and responsibility.......any illiteracy is not on them.

God wants Hayfield to cheat and then steamroll other schools (typically injuring multiple players from the other teams). Didn’t you know? It’s somewhere either in Revelations or the Book of Michelle.

Teams should boycott their Hayfield games. It’s crazy to me that no one will address the cheating and corruption. But there is no need to subject honest FCPS teams to it.
