Is it true that special honor or blessings are associated with dying on Rosh Hoshana?

I heard that on the news tonight, in relation to Ruth Bader Ginsburg, and it brought me some comfort.

She died right before Rosh Hashanah- just a few hours before the start of the new year. This means that G-d felt she was so important that she should be here until the last moment possible.

I don’t agree with many of RBG’s positions but I respect her years of service on the bench. If Scalia loved her, we should all see her this way.

In theory if you believe that during the days of awe it is decided who will live and who will die, then by dying right before or on Rosh Hashanah, RBG was given as much of the year as was possible given that it was written that she would die this year.

My father died right before Rosh Hashanah and I didn't find that theory particularly comforting in part because I don't really believe that g-d literally does that (and neither does the rabbi at my conservative temple when I mentioned this theory to him). But it does mean that now Rosh Hashanah (which is a happy holiday) will likely always have a twinge of sadness for RBG's family.

See a Jewish mother understands for her daughters what gifts RBG gave all women. Do you own a charge card? Are you for getting rid of the ACA and preexisting conditions? And RBG worked with both sides of the lane which is what a Jewish mother would teach her children.

I can say this as I am a "Jewish Mother" and I am annoyed at any Jew who thinks going down the Trumper path is good for Jews. Today 495 between MD & VA, Alt right driving trucks with lovely hate against Jews.
