Not sure if anyone else on here watches this. Very bizarre considering she was in the middle of a two-year contract. |
| Oh shit here we go. This is gonna be good. |
| They should just end the show. She’s too integral to just have her disappear. Shows are always terrible after losing their lead (see Roseanne aka The Connors). |
| They should have ended the show a long time ago. It hasn't been funny in a couple of years. |
Really? Connors is not bad. |
It’s terrible. |
This. It’s like when John Ritter died and they tried to keep the show going. |
Agreed. I like it better with Roseanne gone |
| Omg I NEED to know what really happened here. How can they have the show without Christy? It makes me sad cause I already feel like it's gonna suck. I just started binging season 7 on Hulu and it's noticeably cheesier than the prior seasons. They'd need some pretty great writing to turn it around without Christy. I also noticed the other women seem to have much smaller roles in S7, and I hate it. |
NP. I like it. I thought she was actually the weakest part of the reboot. |
+1 |
| Maybe she quit because filming is too much of a health risk to her and/or to her son since this is a pandemic and all. |
I actually never thought about that lol. But it’s still not good for her career that she’s now broken a contract. |
Rumors are that she has been noticeabley really thin in recent seasons or never got over her last divorce. Or the pandemic. |
| I think it has a chance. It is more of an ensemble show anyway. More like when Diane left Cheers or when various characters left MASH. They have a very deep and talented cast. My question is if they are going to deal with Covid or the fires. Adam’s bar is toast if they bring in the reality of it. How do they do an in person AA meeting without masks? I have really enjoyed ‘Mom’. I love comedies that take on more serious issues and show a different strata of our culture. |
