The shooter himself claimed that Kirk spread too much hate. There’s been no indication that the shooter wanted to end all debate.

Some people think that little kids getting shot despite the fact that the shooter had nothing against them is even more disturbing than a shooter’s being riled up by an adult public figure’s sometimes demeaning and inflammatory comments.

Charlie Kirk was murdered because we have a lot of mental illness in this country coupled with unlimited access to guns. That's the reason. It could have been Charlie Kirk or it could have been someone in line at the grocery store.
