Cameron Diaz/Benji Madden & Nicole Richie/Joel Madden

What is the appeal of these madden boys? They were moderately successful in the early 2000s with good charlotte. But have locked down two women worth way more then them. Cameron being an a-list movie star and Nicole set to inherit part of Lionels estate. I know both of them are sober.

Fun Fact: the guys are from MD. You’ll hear little stories every so often of them being spotted in Annapolis or at an Os game.

Here's a crazy idea: maybe the Madden boys are normal, good guys. That might be a rarity in those circles. Neither woman needs to marry for money and neither seems all that interested in being in the spotlight any longer.

They’re both actually good, decent, normal people. I met them a few times in college because a friend in college was friends with them.

+1. Being a respectful, committed partner counts for a lot. If that’s what those guys are, then I’d say Cameron and Nicole have done well and are lucky to be with them.

Cameron Diaz is back saying she quit acting several years ago. Which is true I suppose, but I don't remember hearing anything about it at the time. Which, also fine>

I just don't understand how one could have a bland name like Joel and the other is named after a TV dog.

They’re not the biggest stars but they also don’t have any scandals that I know of. They all seem happy, so who cares?
