Yes, “Raw Story” is a source I *really* trust. https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/raw-story/ |
The piece in Raw Story has a link to the commies at Reason Magazine who are reporting the exact same thing. I posted that link upthread. This is now AT LEAST the third time that Trump superfans Jacob Wohl and Jack Burkman have been caught paying people to lie about sexual allegations with those whom Trump believes are his enemies - Mueller, Warren and Fauci. |
Oh yes, “solid journalists” spread crap all over the airwaves for years before owning up to it in an attempt to be taken seriously. |
Interesting that the media have been trying diligently to corroborate Reade’s story since last year. According to this, Reade had 3 NY Times reporters following her in April 2019 (according to Reade, at least). Reade kept bugging McGann of Vox about when Vox was going to publish. Looks like either Reade’s story didn’t stand out from the other complaints about shoulder massages last year, or the media (including Vox, which never published) didn’t find her credible, or both. Fast forward to 2020, Bernie lost to Biden, and Reade’s accusations are suddenly a lot sexier in all the wrong and attention-getting ways. Again, Vox and others investigate but don’t carry Reade’s story. That should be the end of all the claims that MSM “hypocritically” didn’t take Reade at face value. |
I am a Democrat and I think these issues are so much more complicated than all this. Human motivations and memory and fickle and stange things. I've been deeply uncomfortable, as a feminist and a mother of two boys, about our national conversation around these issues the past three years. It reduces all women to victims and all men to potential or probable perps. I believe our culture damages both men and women and it is no surprise we then damage each other. But the solution is not nuclear destruction in the (often idiotic and irrational) court of public opinion. Obviously when you have the # of women accusing Harvey Weinstein, with consistent stories, you can deduce that he is and has done what his accusers claim that he is and has done. Trump has so many accusers with consistent stories, and we have his OWN WORDS ON TAPE, so I believe those women wothout doubt. It gets harder when it is one claim. With Kavanaugh, I have no idea if he did what he was accused of as a teenager. What I objected to was his reaction, his palpable anger. I don't personally trust someone like that to be impartial on our highest court in the land. Likewise, I don't know if Biden did what he is being accused of, but the sad thing about this moment is that in my political calculus I will vote for him over Trump even if he did, if that is who the DNC runs. At least he has experoence in the federal government and can put competent people in positions of responsibility. PS - While I supported Clinton in the late 90's, I plead youth. He has been f***ing dead to me ever since he admitted guilt in the Lewinsky case. |
She is a professional victim. The former of Chief of Staff says she never came to him with a complaint. She told her former husband that "someone" in the office was harassing her and gave no names. If a US Senator was sexually assaulting her then she would have used his name. I think she suffers from erotomania!
Biden was vetted to the inth degree by Obama's campaign and any court proceeding from 1996 would have shown up. Women who make up these lies about any man, Republican or Democrat, should go to prison! |
This afternoon I put on my wellies and gas mask and ventured into the Swamp of Fox News, as I do sometimes. Somebody was interviewing McConnell, asking about the "Dem hypocrisy" around Tara Reade. And of course McConnell said it was "outrageous"--with nary a word about how Dems were right to be suspicious because Reade's story has basically been debunked by everyone from Tucker Carlson to Vox. Nary a word about hypocrisy vis a vis Trump's 24 accusers, either.
So yeah, welcome to the new Con party line. They can't call for Biden to leave the race anymore, and it won't work anymore to try to divide Dems around fake news. (Katie Halper is still going at it but she's irrelevant by now.) So it's all about "Dem hypocrisy" around women who've been assaulted--or not assaulted, apparently. Which is hilarious given Donnie's many accusers. And yet, the sad little Con puppets on DCUM have clearly gotten the memo and are trying to spell "hypocrisy" right. This new party line won't last more than a week or two. By November everybody will have forgotten who Reade was. |
I guess Biden would need to be the one to sue her or file charges. Yet he's been surprisingly reticent given that he must know what we all know, about her changing stories and her past. We need an investigation. Was anybody coaching or paying her? Like those two dudes from the Miller, Warren and Fauci allegations. |
Moral of the story: Back to Trump's 24 allegations!
And yeah, thanks, cons, for basically inoculating our guy so we can go after yours with extra energy! |
Her new lawyer has donated a LOT of money to the Trump campaign and the RNC. He’s also very expensive. Makes you wonder who’s paying him. |
The hidden slush fund from the supposedly disbanded Trump Foundation |
Ari Fleischer thinking things that are not smoking guns are indeed smoking guns has cost America a lot of blood and treasure. You’d think he would sit the f&ck down. |
+1 He only knows what she told him at the time and she said nothing about sexual assault. And he wants nothing to do with backing up her story now. |
