Well I guess that this answers the question of where RBFC will be getting more teams - forced acquisition of Loudoun East teams…

This was sent out to Loudoun East teams tonight from RP:

League Play Next Year - GA Aspire - RBFC:
For next year, the goal is that I will coach these two groups in the GA Aspire. I have had several conversations with several parents about this and so it's an option on the table that I am working through. If you haven't heard, there is a new club that has popped up in Great Falls/Reston area called RBFC. It's more or less a sister club to Loudoun East for the simple fact that it also falls under the Loudoun Umbrella. This club has been given the GA Aspire platform which is similar to ECNL-Regional League. As part of the plan, these two age groups can participate in GA Aspire and therefore will occupy two of the six slots from U13 through U18/19 age groups. It's a league above NCSL and falls under the Loudoun Pathway and the National pathways (Aspire as a steppingstone to GA/NVA).
We are working through all the logistics as we would love to keep the foundation of these two groups together and build around/strengthen which is another one of my strengths and thus super excited about the future. In terms of the pathway in Loudoun, a few of the girls who asked and wanted to explore inquired and because I do some work with NVA on the technical side, I was able to secure some training opportunities for some of the players to evaluate themselves and see areas they need to improve on. As I transition to become their coach, these opportunities will be a part of the role as we take the next step in their development. While coach OH will transition to take on new groups in the under 12 age groups, he will continue to play a role and assist with these two groups.
I am working out the logistics and will communicate with full details by next week.
In short, please don't panic about anything and leave the rest to me because I think stability for these girls is important

Thank you very much for all the support you give the girls and the program

I got the same email. I was wondering how this would all go down, but it makes sense to combine. There are too many clubs trying to pull the girls. So now…RBFC/LE/Loudoun/NVA are all the same.

What age groups does this RP person coach? Just asking as a casual observer of all this. Will RBFC tell prospective Aspire players that two of the age groups are essentially filled due to existing Loudoun East teams being brought over? Or will they let girls show up thinking they are trying out for a yet to be formed team?

2012 and 2013. It’s not that simple though - between the age change next year, the fact that the rosters aren’t 100% full right now, and girls naturally leave teams I’m sure there will be spots available.

Lol if that is a copy/paste job RP is in trouble. No way Loudoun would want to put that level of uncertainty in writing.

leave it all to me is the quote of the year

Looks like someone called this a while ago…

What bs. Ga Aspire is not the same as RL. Ga aspire is mid tier ncsl.

So rbfc will get access to the Loudoun east fields?

Exactly, they are rebranding loudoun east low-tier ncsl teams as GA Aspire. Hilarious that they are telling parents this magically makes their kids RL level.

If RP is the RP currently at NVA, he will be on ARL’s payroll as of next month so I would have some misgivings about that email and would definitely seek more clarification.

That email was clearlt from a loudoun east younger girls coach.

The point of loudoun east was access to Sterling families who don't want to travel to Loudoun for practices. They don't want to go to Great falls either, so I assume rbfc will be practicing in Sterling.

What league will the Loudoun east boys play in for their "pathway" to NVA?

They haven’t said anything about the boys with all this. I would assume nothing changes for them. For the teams I am familiar with they are not suited for anything beyond mid to lower NCSL.
