How about the girls playing for MD teams? Will any public or private HS end up with several of them?

It’s a brutal commute from NoVa to SJC.

Once the 24s graduate, SJC will drop off significantly because that is half of their starters. JV is not good so they don't have a pipeline and coach doesn't sub much to develop depth.

SJC’s coach is wonderful. I know one strong Pride 2028 player is going to SJC, wouldn’t be surprised if a herd goes with her.

Doubtful. It's not a program with a big track record and unless it's nearby, no reason to travel that far for a program that didn't even make WCAC finals. There is no depth in that program and her lack of development in her non-starters is why.

Look at St. John's 2 team in indoor. Not in the top division and winless - got smoked by NCS and Sidwell.

If you have to drive more than 30 minutes, it gets old real quick unless you can jump into a carpool. We went with the best lacrosse school that was geographically manageable. Could have gone to a better school and drive another 15 but at some point rationality kicked in. Thank goodness.

How many from Pride girls are looking at Visi? What about from other teams, including Hero’s, M&D, etc.? My daughter hopes to attend Visi and a strong-ish freshman class would be a bonus. Thanks for more interesting topics recently everyone!

I have heard quite a bit of chatter from the Pride crew about SJC. If there is going to be a Pride herd move that is where they will go

Does anyone know if Stone Ridge typically take a certain amount of freshman on varsity and if so do they get any playing time?

Heard they do take freshman but all depends on the skill level. Clearly they are highly talented to make such a team as a freshman but they are competing with time from other really talented girls. I know Visi takes some freshman too and I do know that some freshman have been starters in recent past but they have been phenoms.

They do but they really only take freshmen that will play. Similar to the other big schools (SSSAS, GC, Visi) they have more depth and playing time is important so they have swing players to make sure they play and don't just sit the bench all spring.

Current Visi parent - I think they will have a good team this year, maybe even very good. They underperformed last year so hopefully they can get some of their momentum back. Big question is do we have any talent coming in to next year’s freshman class?
