Hmm, so you know Joan, maybe from some common job or location in Rockville. Very, very interesting.... |
But again, Leslie has such a bad track record when she makes romantic decisions for herself. When your brother goes on national TV and tells everybody he hopes the bachelor will choose her and fix everything for her, you know there's a problem. And what if one of Leslie's exes comes out of the woodwork? This show has shown us they play it safe by giving lots of love to the widowed people who were in long-term relationships. |
But this could pretty much be said about any of the Bachelors/Bachelorettes over 30. Leslie seems less nuts than a Claire, for example. And she’s inspirational in many respects. |
|
ABC is making a killing on the ratings with the Bachelor. They'd be foolish to pass up this opportunity. +1 I think Leslie will draw viewers. She has far more social media followers than the others. It helps that they can go down to late 50s, maybe, for men. She’s a minor celebrity now and hopefully can profit from this experience in terms of endorsements etc. I’m sure she was caught up in it in the moment, but probably realizes in the harsh light of day that Gerry was not a good match in the end. I’d love to see her in a spin-off! |
PP to whom you delivered your petty manifesto - I was going to agree with you until your last snarky sentence. So uncalled for and off putting. |
Being less nuts than somebody else is not a high bar. I have nothing against her. But how do you think she's "inspirational in many respects" in the way the other women aren't. They've all had careers, even if it wasn't in aerobics. |
There goes my theory. But I am still under the impression that Gerry doesn't wind up engaged. Or, he tells both women that he is still not over his wife and it wouldn't be fair to date either one of them. |
There wasn't a single SAHM, was there? Or maybe for a few years while the kids were little, but the show didn't tell us that. Instead, when the women pop up on screen, we see their name, age, and job. Honestly April was a school guidance counselor, and while I'm not April's biggest fan, I find that more inspirational than looking good in aerobics gear. |
I thought April was a therapist. Which I cannot imagine… |
Some of those jobs did not seem like full time jobs, or even really jobs at all. Like Renee is a "former Chicago HoneyBears cheerleader." She's 67; she hasn't been cheering for the Chicago Bears for quite a while. Several women in "real estate." I have friends who are real estate agents who are basically SAHMs -- they manage to sell almost nothing and make very little money. Real estate agents can be very successful and make a lot of money, but that's not all of them. Susan is a "wedding officiant." Bet she makes about 2k per year. |
The only one who seems to work FT is Joan. |
And Theresa does/did something in "securities" or "the financial industry." But for the women who are over 70 or even 65, like Theresa, I'm not going to blame them for being retired now. |
My gal Ellen, 71, is a retired teacher. |
Checks out. |

I always spoil the seasons for myself by reading reality Steve and this season there is Nothing….no spoilers at all with the exception of the final two . Either reality Steve is getting paid to keep quiet or he truly doesn’t know which I find hard to believe.
Also, im really annoyed that I can’t find out who the winner is! It’s usually all over the internet by now. |
