SOP is all parties are out of the residence/building/property being searched. I’ve never heard of cameras being shut off. That’s bizarre. And immediately fosters speculation of improprieties on behalf of the agency conducting the search.

Has it occurred to you that IF (big IF) the FBI agents asked the cameras to be shut off it's because the search warrant required them to find and remove highly classified information that could impact our nation's security and they did not want to risk those documents being photographed/recorded in any way during the search process?

Has it occurred to you that the ability for a standard 1080i resolution security camera to read the text off a piece of paper on the other side of a room is precisely ZERO?

He had two sources. Could have been neighbors or employees at the property. No way to know.

Garland was unaware that the raid would happen when it did and how it did. He should have. It is his agency.

You can absolutely dislike Trump but also appreciate the optics and historical precedent set by one president investigating the home of a former president that is also likely to run again. Just think back what a firestorm it was when Comey kept saying things about H. Clinton. This is a big deal and Biden and Garland should be on it.

There is supposed to be a firewall between the WH and DOJ for the very reason that it removes political pressure as an animating factor for decisions pertaining to the enforcement of federal law.
