Why would the FBI want the cameras shut off?

That seems very suspicious.

Source?

B/C the video could be released and agents identified. See retribution towards judge who signed.

You misunderstood. What is the source saying that “the raid was captured in its entirety despite the FBI demanding the cameras be shut off.”

It seems suspicious only if you have little to no understanding of how search warrants generally are executed.

I am actually, having participated in dozens of them in my career. How many have you served?

SOP is all parties are out of the residence/building/property being searched. I’ve never heard of cameras being shut off. That’s bizarre. And immediately fosters speculation of improprieties on behalf of the agency conducting the search.

They’re fomenting the death threats to this judge.

What you fail to see is that this statement: “Let's find out if he has children....where they go to school, where they live...EVERYTHING.” is a direct reference to what happened to Kavanaugh and his family.
How soon you forget.
And, what was done about that? Nothing. Nada.

CONGRESS PASSED A LAW AGAINST THAT, YOU IGNORAMUS. And it only applies to SCOTUS judges, not this or any other lower level federal judges, even though one had her family members murdered by a psycho like a year ago.

I feel let down.

Publically releasing documents, through John Soloman, related to Trump's 2016 Russian connections and Ukraine phone call.

Probably not related but this seemed to kick into gear at the same time Biden was considering supplying Ukraine with HIMARS.

I think publicly releasing TS documents is going to end up with Solomon in prison for violation of the Espionage Act. These people are not patriotic.

Just to be clear, you're now advocating to put journalists in prison if you don't like what they publish?

He's not wearing his journalist hat in this scenario. According to that Politico article he, along with Kash Patel, were named official custodians in June. The fact that he doesn't mention this MASSIVE conflict of interest in his reporting tells us everything we need to know. He's not a reporter, he's a party complete with his own liability.

Glad we have you to determine who is and is not a journalist. What could ever go wrong...

TFG violated the Espionage Act if he provided access to classified documents to someone like Solomon who has no clearance.

It's easy to determine if there were "improprieties". All Trump has to do is release the warrant and inventory. He is the one who has chosen not to.

Has it occurred to you that IF (big IF) the FBI agents asked the cameras to be shut off it's because the search warrant required them to find and remove highly classified information that could impact our nation's security and they did not want to risk those documents being photographed/recorded in any way during the search process?

So neither Biden nor Garland knew this was going to happen? Who is in charge?

Trump was one that pushed this. No one would've known that his house was being searched if he didn't publicize it. In addition I heard that the DOJ first subpoenaed him for the information. If he had provided everything he was supposed to provide, there would've been no need for a search warrant.

Trump is just rallying his troops to grift them for more money. You know this whole week he's been asking them for money. All of his fundraisers.

I have not heard that Garland was underwear. But Biden did. Biden has been very clear that he lets the DOJ and FBI run their agencies without interference from him. Which is where how it is supposed to happen.

Biden has always said that the Justice Department needs to be independent, so he’s not in charge of investigations there. Why do you say Garland didn’t know?

A local Florida politics reporter actually broke this before Trump put out his statement.

There is nothing improper or necessarily unusual about an AIC requesting that a security system being disabled in a case such as this. The lawyers present on behalf of Trump Org could have declined in the absence of a court order or exigent circumstance that might permit pulling the plug. The FBI isn’t in the business of taking actions in the hope it might stop some wacko from spreading baseless conspiracy theories. They are however in the business of protecting their own agents. And there is no shortage of anecdotes of LEO disabling dash cams, ring video cameras or entire surveillance systems.

There is a difference between being deferential to the decisions of your subordinates and being unaware. Biden is Garland's boss and anyone with half a brain knew this would be a big deal and Biden should at least know about it.

Biden was also unaware that Garland was about to make a statement today.

Garland was unaware that the raid would happen when it did and how it did. He should have. It is his agency.

You can absolutely dislike Trump but also appreciate the optics and historical precedent set by one president investigating the home of a former president that is also likely to run again. Just think back what a firestorm it was when Comey kept saying things about H. Clinton. This is a big deal and Biden and Garland should be on it.
