What is going on at Holton?

Holton has the most diverse and intelligent group of girls in the DMV. Since you are thinking of future entry, seriously consider applying once there is a new administration. Legal problems, including sexual harassment, they don't share with parents or donors. Many disgruntled - not just a few.

Could you please expand regarding the legal problems, federal investigation, and sexual harassment?

Holton parent here. I am reading this thread and finding it to NOT be representative. Holton is an amazing place. Not every girl thrives there, and some will do better in different environments. But my DD is very happy, and I am also happy with admin responsiveness. No place is perfect. Holton tries hard and mostly hits the mark.

+1 Completely agree. Holton is not perfect but it comes VERY close for my daughter. No complaints and well worth the money.

you would be wrong. Kids attending Holton travel from PG County, Alexandria, etc. so many kids have hour commute. We live in Fort Washington, Md so we are one of the many kids. Holton offer several bus routes which makes it convenient for parents

My daughter is in Middle School and I love the asynchronous days. There’s only 3 asynchronous days a years. During these days, students can set up meetings with teachers, catch on assignments/missed homework, and makeup test. My daughter worked on a science project with her workgroup on one of the asynchronous days. I’m happy they are continuing the asynchronous days for the upcoming school year.

Why would someone post this nonsense. I haven’t heard about any of this either. We’ve been at Holton for 4 years and my DD is thriving there.

Holton, GDS and Potomac are among the few schools that publish the full list of enrollment over the past four years. This allows a direct comparisons of the proportion of kids going to various types of schools.
