The girls from that year 2020 are very outspoken and have no problem sharing their stories. They speak openly about it and have a lot of trauma/disdain/resentment over the way that HoS dealt with it. If the school has any integrity, the Board should conduct an independent investigation. Or the school could hire a law firm to do one. It would save their reputation on this issue - instead of continuing to ignore it. If they don't address it by the fall, that would be par for the course and a clear indication that it's time for an administration change.

Indpendent would be good. Their previous investigations on sexual harassment were pretty similar to the Trump/FBI investigation on Brett Kavanagh.

Besides the posts here, with the letter to the families about wishing the teacher well signed by the Head of School and Head of the US, was there any other statement that the school made? The letter doesn't explain why he left in February.

Inappropriate conduct is the unwanted touching by a teacher. Not only was it inappropriate but also illegal.
How does anyone here know that the police were not involved? Holton admin did the right thing by finally letting him go! They just didn't want to admit that he was doing what the girls were complaining about for years.
This is not a dead horse until the school addresses it. Those who are part of the administration on this thread need to speak up and just saying it's an axe to grind.
Sexual harassment and assault are not issues that a school should brush under the rug.

Not trying to deflect on a serious subject.
But can someone explain to me the situation with team sports at the varsity level? would just like to get an idea of why the teams are not more competitive. Social media shows that they go to DIII or not-competitive DI programs.

I am PP with the infamous axe statement. My point, clearly ill-made, is that no one has first person specifics; there are no police records; and the school statement is unclear. I, for one, have no idea what really happened, and it is ridiculous to keep speculating. If there was inappropriate behavior, the perpetrator is gone. Good. Whether the school handled well, most of us were not there so… who knows!
And while I am extremely careful for my daughter, I have seen the other side of the coin, as I had a family member falsely accused of inappropriate behavior by a disgruntled employee who was on a performance plan. Not that an adult is the same as a child ever, but you hopefully see the point. Ok, feel free to bash, as some of you always do.
