I found my post from 2020, and nothing has changed. In fact, I think things are even worse. I just got demoted, my kid is attempting to fail senior year rather than go off to college and my husband is being a dick to me even though I am very obviously depressed. So, yeah, hunky dory over here. FML. I really just want to run away and never come back.

Yes. I let a breakup ruin the last almost 10 years of my life. I became a recluse and gained so much weight that I now cant get off. I don't have a solid career and I lost majority of my friends. If you had asked me 10-15 years ago, I would have a ton of great friends, a good job that I enjoy, a family. I have none of it and it makes me just lose hope all the time

People need to be very intentional about how they live their lives. Daily decisions impact long term goals.
Op I’d dump the hubby, get the kid in therapy, and move on with your life.
