Popular vacation destinations you’re not interested in

I love to travel and could have fun anywhere, but here are some places that are so low on my list that I will just never likely go to:
Vegas
Cruise
China
Egypt
Alaska

Australia doesn’t interest me. I wouldn’t turn down a free trip but it’s not on my bucket list. I find India fascinating but I do worry about the crowds and poverty and aggressive men.

I love the local(ish) beaches and am super happy with a boring beach house on the shore.

I love Mexico also! We don’t stay in resorts and we do walk around the local markets and stuff.

Paris

I’d go to these places but would not miss it if I never got a chance. My bucket list is huge with many other places I’d rather go.

Surprised that so many would name India as a popular vacation destination. Since when?
Anyway, I’ve been there and absolutely loved it. But it’s not usually considered a vacation destination.

My husband has family in India and so I will likely go at some point, but I do dread it. Aside from poverty, crowdedness, odors and food safety, I am also leery because I imagine I will feel smothered by people (not strangers, family!).

Yeah. Africa is small. And not diverse. Everywhere else is like those two places.

Duh .. everyone knows Morocco, Liberia, Zambia, and the Seychelles are EXACTLY THE SAME!

Why mot Japan?

Not the PP - while I'd like to go there I've heard it's a tough nut to crack. Almost impenetrable language barrier and hard to cross paths with any locals in any meaningful way and apparently there is almost nothing of historical value in any of their large cities.

But Tokyo is supposedly pretty mesmerizing.

Nope alllllllllll wrong.

Japan was by far and away the best country we've ever been too. Much better than Europe. No oth

Japan was wonderful.

Agree with loving the "boring" beach house. Our boring beach is Hatteras. We love it because it's quiet. Sea kayaking, boogie boarding family beach volleyball, coffee watching the sunrise, cocktail watchumg the sunset...that's enough for me. We also do vacations where it's go, go, go. Those are fun too.

I am baffled that anyone could possibly include Paris or London on this list. Or Spain. Mind boggling.

But you are ok with someone including the Grand Canyon and Yosemite?

Eh, no, I guess not. But those destinations are not really bucket list. Just more places most Americans wind up at some point. But come to think of it, I guess most Americans also make it to London, Paris, and Spain these days.

If you think “most Americans” make it to London, Paris, or Spain at any point in their lives...girl, get out of your bubble!

In whose world are Grand Canyon and Yosemite not bucket list destinations? They are among the most spectacular sites in the world. I know a ton of Americans and Europeans who have those on their dream list of destinations.

So many Americans have to save for years to be able to get to and then enjoy Western Parks.

Sometimes I hate DCUM.
