Only 28% of people can identify Iran on a map

I can identify around 90% of countries on a map. How?

My parents had school after school. Had I been dependent solely on school (public), I would not know where many countries are.

You are exceptional in this regard. Well done. It's just not something most people need or care to know, though.

And the USA bears no blame whatsoever?

ALL of the problems in the Middle East are associated with Iran?

Not Iran
Not Iraq
Not Afghanistan
Not Syria
Not Jordan
Not Lebanon
Not Saudi Arabia
Not Lebanon
Not Qatar
Not United Arab Emirates
Not Palestine

Jus to be pedantic on a thread about geography failings. Neither Iran nor Afghanistan are in the Middle East!

Just to be literate, the poster referred to “problems” in the Middle East not “countries” in the Middle East. I responded to poster that Iran nor the other countries was responsible for “problems” in the Middle East

Let me guess: you’re a liberal. Nope, no need to know geography!

Keep patting yourself on the back because you can point to a few places on the map without looking it up on your iphone. Whoopie!!! Knowing that will do nothing significant for most people in this country, nor is it of much use to them. You sound like a self-congratulatory elitist.

And you sound like a redneck yahoo who couldn’t find a country outside of North America on the map if your life depended on it. And you’re actually proud of your ignorance. Funny, I thought liberals liked to tout themselves as being “educated.” Guess not.

I can probably locate more countries than you, but I'm not running around hanging it over people's heads because they can't. It's just not a huge deal. People are worried about bills and mortgages, not playing pin the tail on the map. You have no idea what my politics are.

Religion is the only problem in the Middle East. Always has been. Religion is the root of civilization, but also the root of all evil. Tough juxtaposition.

That was intentional

Just like "intensive purposes" will eventually gain wide acceptance, geography dorks will eventually accept this middle east stuff.

Intensive purposes makes no sense.

It's not meant to be taken literally bro. Relax. Some of you can't help but be pointlessly pedantic.
