Does anyone know when COGAT results come out?

So that should be a composite around 129-131, with a verbal in the 140s? Unless the GBRS is bad, your kid is likely to be admitted.

Yes, the cut off for the pool is usually 91st-92nd percentile. So you should certainly apply. Your child is right there.

132 in any one category or on the NNAT is the cut off for in pool. Is the 90th percentile the composite score? What were the individual scores?

I have no idea what a 90th percentile score is but if you think your child would benefit from AAP then I would apply. Go to the web site and down load the forms. Others have suggested looking at the GBRSs evaluation that the Teachers will be doing and highlight the areas on that form in your answers on the parent questionnaire.

This is a rookie question, and I am sure I could find the answer by reading somewhere else on the site, but how do you get access to that GBRS?

Thanks,

Go to the FCPS AAP Application website, the GBRS form is one of the PDFs there.

So has anyone actually received the scores in the mail? Hopefully the schools all mail them out before break.

It sounds like everyone who got results came from backpack not mail. Please correct me if I’m wrong. That would be strange if some schools waited until after break while some already got them. Hopefully in the mail for everyone this weekend.

I actually saw the secretary in my kids' school stuffing envelopes on Tuesday afternoon. So, I imagine maybe we'll hear today or tomorrow.

Just bringing this forward for the poster wondering about letters coming in the mail. There is at least one poster expecting it in the mail soonish. Others have posted that the letters came separate from their school packets. Hopefully you get your results today.

I received an in pool letter in today's mail but no CogAT scores yet. I am pretty sure older DS's CogAT scores and pool letter all came in the same envelope mailed from school two years ago.

We got two envelops at our school, one with the scores and one with the in pool letter.

This year? And did you receive them on the same day or different days?

Do all school districts send out the results at roughly the same time e.g. within the span of 1-2 days? If people are seeing scores now (maybe even yesterday), is it safe to assume all the children will have them by today? Surely we wouldn't go into the holiday break with some kids having that information and others not until school resumes after the holidays?
