Go with your gut. Warren is a good person. Part of what made Obama successful is that people went with their hearts on him and worked to persuade people. And then after the primary we get out there and work. |
How is Warren's tax plan unconstitutional? Didn't we have something like it in the 1950s? |
hey hey
ho ho all 'dem old guys gots to go hey hey ho ho |
I’m not clear on why someone thinks it’s unconstitutional, but we have never had a wealth tax that she proposes before. Yes, in the 1950s, income taxes on the highest brackets were as much as 90%. |
Whatever you say, Ivan ![]() |
Biden’s fine. |
Nope, nothing like that in the US, ever. The 16th amendment was passed to authorize federal taxes on income and it explicitly limits it to INCOME. A wealth tax would require another constitutional amendment. Warren is lying to you. |
Meh. Considering those boons didn’t pay their fair share of taxes, I’m cool with taxing those with assets north of $50 million. |
Reread what you just wrote and in response to what next time ypu think Trump voters are crazy ![]() |
Yeah sorry “boons” was an auto of “boobs.” |
2% levy on assets of $50 million.
I’m having trouble seeing the problem. |
It's a pipe dream not allowed by the Constitution we have. Are you betting that Warren can get an amendment passed? |
He’s a Harvard/Rhodes/McKinsey type, so whoever he panders to, he’s assuredly always hard-right. |
PP, go to a Dr and tell them you have a ‘Russia’ lodged in your brain. I think it can be fixed if it’s caught soon. |
Whenever an online political pundit says something is ‘unconstitutional’ I read ‘beyond a simple person’s imagination’. |
