Shep's anger towards Madison is irrational. There is more there fuelling his fury. Naomi and Craig had a rocky break up and he doesn't rage at her the way he does Madison. All of the cast members didn't grow up rich and while he no doubt likes Austen as a buddy, his relationships are none of his business especially since Shep appears to unapologetically sleep with a different woman every weekend.

I agree Shep’s anger is out of proportion for the events thus far. If he was acting this way because of what she said about Danni and him, then I could see it. But she sleeps with another dude when they were broken up? Please. The tape isn’t even real. And I don’t think he’s mad because she turned him down years ago. Something bigger must have gone down.

Craig’s anger is also nuts this season (and even last). It’s like he’s either on something or he’s not taking something that he used to, and this is his true self.

I think at a superficial level Austen is cute. But once you start taking to him, he’s just a puddle of melted vanilla ice cream. So the bar pickups are probably easy for him.

Shep is the one I can’t put my finger on. I don’t dislike him. I think he missed his calling as being a professor at a SLAC. But, I don’t think he is very good looking but I think it’s because his teeth are so terrible. He’s not poor, why are his veneers so bad? He’s really tall so that does give him an advantage. I bet he also has a silver tongue and that’s an advantage in more ways then one.

I don't like Shep that much but he is intelligent and it's pretty clear he manipulates Craig and Austen. I put the blame on them for not growing a backbone and allowing Shep to toy with them. I used to love Craig but I think something is really off about him the past two seasons and he needs some help. Austen is easily manipulated because he's just like a blob of a person.

I think out of all of the women Madison is the best looking and she doesn't care for Shep as boyfriend or a friend. He knows that and everyone else knows it and it ticks him off. He slept with Katherine. He dated Danni. He's buddies with Chelsea, Craig's ex and Cameron who waffles between being sisterly and flirty. Madison isn't an ex, a buddy or a one night stand and that irks him.

Shepherd looks unkempt with restless leg syndrome.
Craig is loosing his preppy charm and also looks unkempt and is too thin. He is getting a hard, lined, unhappy resting face.
Austen at least looks clean and is a nice person who cares about his family and has a conscious, but is still bland and adds nothing really.
Whitney has nothing in common with anyone except Shep and Cameron and
Cameron is about to check out of this rodeo show.

I don't think any of the 3 guys are amazing looking but Shep is naturally better looking than Craig. Otoh, Craig looks like he actually exercises. In a couple years, it might be different.
