I recently discovered Christine as a replacement for my beloved climb rides with JJ. I like the structure of her classes, but is it just me or does she tell her whole life story about moving to NY, becoming a bike messenger, starting bike racing, etc in every ride? I took three classes with her in the last week or so and she went through the same spiel in each class.

I've taken most of Christine's classes, and she does not do that on every ride. Sometimes there is a comment about what training she did that week, but it's not a life story monologue. I just love her. I started by taking JJ a lot since she seemed to be a fan favorite, and I could not STAND her. It was part of the reason it took me awhile to get into it.

I don’t like JJ either. I’ve tried Christine a few times but can’t really get into it. I do like Jenn Sherman.

Like others Denis is my favorite. It’s not just that he’s nice to look at but he’s actually a really great instructor. I also like Alex and British Ben. Cody and Jess King on occasion.

I will admit this something I cannot do.

I like her classes and love that she occasionally has you close your eyes and just ride. But she's a bit too giggly sometimes.

My husband and I often wonder about the giggly part. We were wondering if she has a mental illness. I liked her at first. Now she annoys me a bit. But I do like her taste in music.

I find Christine a little irritating also. Almost like she’s on drugs. It’s bizarre.

I wouldn't ride with her. I have done her cool down a couple of times and five minutes is too much.

I want to like Jess King but she is constantly talking about what a mess she is and implying how much partying she does, etc. I like her for some reason but she's like your friend who you love, but they are completely self absorbed.

Now that JJ is gone, I would say that Robin is the best alternative for me. She is a pusher and I like the hard edges.

Since JJ left and Denis seems to be teaching fewer cycling classes, I’ve totally switched gears and have been riding a lot with Cody and Emma. I’ve been enjoying their dancier rides as a nice change of pace from just grinding it out on power zone and climb rides like I normally do. I wish I could get into Tabata or HIIT, but I hate hate hate speed intervals.

I would do a 10 or 20 minute tabata and try to get into it. Nothing feels better than finishing a 45 min Robin tabata ride, I feel like I have truly accomplished something.

DH uses Peloton all the time. I think he actually really likes Christine's rides? All I know is he usually does 80s rides, since I definitely hear that music blasting during them.

Peloton has been a lifesaver for us, since we both work FT and have a toddler, so going to the gym wasn't feasible. Getting a Peloton has ultimately been less expensive than a gym membership (and definitely less expensive than paying for daily spin classes at Soulcycle or something). He's lost a ton of weight doing those classes and it's great because he can get on whenever he wants -- sometimes he rides at 6:30am and other times it's at like 10pm.

Matt, JJ, and Emma are my favorite. I also like the pro cyclist rides, but they don’t have any new ones lately. There’s also the big dude with long straggly hair who appears to be jacked up on coke while instructing. I forget his name but he’s funny to watch on occasion. Anyhow, great, solid piece of equipment and the instructors do keep me motivated. Great concept from a business perspective and keeps me healthy despite the cost.

Everytime I ride Jess King, I get a PR. I think I just get hypnotized by her massive fake boobs. Kind of love her, in a weird way. Also, I think she’s gay per comments from her ride earlier this week.

She is. It’s not a secret.

Yeah there are pics of her gf all over Instagram. I agree she (Jess not the gf) is oddly compelling. But most of them are which is why they have this job! Jess is one is like to meet in person (have met a Robin and Denis at the studio).

+1

Okay, I’m the one who signed up to stalk her on IG. Everything she posts is about him and tags him. She’s also posting IG stories wearing Peloton apparel. It seems like she’s trying to use his Peloton following to boost her own visibility.

she hasn’t been doing it as much lately. WHAT COULD IT MEAN

Jess is a pain, I tried a couple of her rides but can't stand her no more.

I like Denis and also two instructors from London, Ally Love and Leanne something I think?
