It’s such a joke.

I didn't understand the need for the Lizzo ride at all.

Every time I hear that song on the radio all I can think of is why is she yelling at me about the Minnesota Vikings?

I actually like that song but I was also baffled about why they had that ride in the first place. I don't like any of her other songs at all. I think an artist spotlight ride should be reserved for established artists that people actually know and care about.

Guys, you are showing your age. Lizzo is immensely popular and the break-out artist of the summer. Over 36k riders have taken that ride so far. Compare that to the 16k who have taken the Red Hot Chili Peppers ride and 25k who gave taken Denis’s Queen ride, which also has the added draw of Denis taking his hair down mid-ride and was touted for that reason among his fans. (You can thank a Peloton FB page for me knowing this. :lol Even the much-hyped Madonna ride had only slightly higher ridership at 40k.

Correct. Plus they're trying to increase their relatability for the younger set (bonus of Soulcycle current issues). I'm a big Denis fan but LOVED the Lizzo ride, Queen and Wings were eh.

I actually thought she was better than usual. I’m really liking Ally lately. (Though I’m also another one who finds Denis’s girlfriend incredibly and disappointingly vapid ... like dude don’t you make fun of a woman in her mid 30s who says k thx byeeeee* cringe)

Omg the gf - literally posted that she was watching “videos of kids getting hurt” today. Honestly I’m taking fewer of his classes now. His jokes don’t seem so funny.

Yeah, I saw that. What a weird thing to do and a weirder thing to post about.

I just can’t get into Ally Love. The whole “boss” thing sounds so unnatural and forced to me and the what she gazes into the camera and smiles just seems weird to me. She is beautiful, obviously, I just find her awkward on the bike.

Another who agrees. I know it’s ridiculous to like him less because of this but I really do. She just seems so .... ugh. Not only vapid, but mean (kids getting hurt? When you’re well into your 30s? Really?) Pretty though.

Is Denis leaving Peloton? I was taking his Fresh Friday on demand today and he said he wasn’t doing rides anymore?m and this was his last Fresh Friday. Maybe I misunderstood.

I think he just meant the schedule is changing and he’s not doing the Fresh Friday rides anymore. He’s on the schedule the next two weeks, but no FF rides.

Yeah his FB group was freaking out! Just no more Fresh Friday (they always cycle out - see what I did there? - theme rides) and change the schedule quarterly (ie Sept 1).
