I agree, they must have eliminated non-US schools from this year's list. Prior years' lists have included non-US schools. |
In a quick review, I found both the University of British Columbia and the University of Toronto. |
...and Edinburgh, Concorida, Oxford, McGill and St. Andrews |
| The above linked list is from 2018. I don't think Bethesda Magazine has put the 2019 list online yet. |
Thank you...hadn't seen the whole list. |

Super interesting data, especially with the huge variances you see between school. Umich for example -
Walter Johnson 5 / 55 Churchill 23 / 91 What's happening here? |
Another interesting tidbit, for the Michigan trolls on here - Michigan's acceptance is lower than UCLA and UVA in this data |
That link is from last year. |

Admission rates at school overseas are surprisingly high, even at places like Oxford and U Toronto.
Are they looking for US students? Or is it self-selection, somehow only the very best students apply? |
Full pay. |
It's somewhat self-selection. Also, the criteria for admission are very clear so it's easier to gauge if it's worth it to apply. |
Thanks. That sounds like something we should try here instead of torturing kids with 10+ applications. |
My DC applied to schools in Canada, the UK, and France. The process was a breeze compared to the US. |
Where did DC go in the end? |
West Point could have as many as 6. They don't report it if there are less than 7 apps across the schools. |
