This is so crazy. Is Nadir going to coach 100 total teams or what?

GFR Technical Director
GFR 2013
GFR 09 (assistant)
GFR 06/07 (assistant)
FVU Director of Coaching
FVU 2010 (assistant)
FVU 09 (assistant)
FVU 06/07

Everybody except the people in charge at GFR understand that his first, second and third priorities are those FVU teams. I doubt he'll ever even make an appearance at anything Great Falls-related.

He’s also listed as an assistant coach at Howard U.

Does anyone have insight into the coaches for boys U11/U12?

New to travel soccer. Tried to do research before posting but it seems everyone I’ve asked outside of those whose kids are in this club believe it to be weak. why would this be? The younger age groups seem to be winning a good amount particularly on the girls side. The coaches for the younger girls (not sure of boys) seem to know what they are doing in order to scrounge out wins but are they also good for player development. Would love insights for the U12 and under age groups on both boys and girls

We are not at the club, and do not consider it to be weak. They have plenty of strong teams, on both the girls and boys sides.

My child plays with GFR and has been super happy. He enjoys his team and coaches and has grown a lot as a player. His team plays and wins competitive matches. If I didn't follow this board, I would never know there was anything I was supposed to be outraged by.

They're ok/good. Not great. Not terrible. It's a suitable option for local folks.

Do my eyes deceive me or is GD really assigned to coach 4 teams? Even with assistants, that’s a lot for one coach!

Any insight on the Girls U13 (2012) coaches for 24-25?? We're strongly considering jumping ship from the dumpster fire that is HYS.

I received my D coaching license and conducted my on field evaluation with U9-U12 players from GFR. Their tops kids, particularly girls at U10-U11 were very good. GFR, run supplemental skills clinics (Ball mastery, striker, total player clinics) to enhance development. The club I am at, only does team practices. I think GFR has a pretty good program to give their club options to participate in a lot of developmental clinics.

Can you explain what makes HYS a dumpster fire? We were considering it. Is the boys side bad or just the girls?

Boys have RL, girls are NCSL. Something to consider on the girls side if your player is more skilled/competitive. Might be worth looking at other clubs for a better level of competition.

Where have all the coaches from GFR gone?

Looks like a lot of new names on that coaches list. Some from NVU? Any thoughts on them?
