Mueller is going to end up destroyed from this. Mark my words. |
You know we are talking about Donald Trump, right? |
Please do elaborate. |
Speaking of Don Jr https://www.politico.com/story/2018/01/24/donald-trump-jr-congress-testimony-mueller-366653 |
how so? |
The thing is that this is incredibly complex. You are talking about probably hundreds of thousands of pages of documents— many of them financial. Many of them in different languages. And hundreds of interviews. And it all needs to be pieced together, meticulously and painstankingly, into a coherent picture. Every interview requires you to plan hours of questions, to have a plan of attack, and to already know the answers to most of the questions they are going to ask inmany case. Frankly, I’m shocked the have Flynn under indictment already, and are planning to talk to Trump, who is the great white wale in this investigation. For something this important, they have to be careful, and they have to get it right. |
Not to mention I believe lying to the FBI is a crime regardless of whether you’re under oath. Being under oath also makes it “perjury.” |
A wonderfully fitting comparison. Both were once hailed as the King of New York. One king is dead and the other is about to go from the frying pan into the fire. People in Bensonhurst lauded Gotti along time ago because he provided free illegal fireworks on July 4th to the delight of the neighbors. The possibility that he may have murdered people before and while acting as the boss of the NY mafia was a secondary consideration. Kind of like the people who post that they don't care about collusion or secret payments to porn stars or total lack of moral character as long as the stock market is doing well. |
Yes, I'm sure we will rue the day. ![]() |
He's the only one in this whole debacle whose conduct is commendable. |
The guy who volunteered to serve in Vietnam where he earned a Bronze Star and Purple Heart? The guy who oversaw the prosecutions of Manuel Noriega, the Lockerbee bombing case and John Gotti? The guy who was FBI director after 9/11, and stood up against warrantless domestic wiretappping and "enhanced interrogation"? Dream on. |
Correct. And interviews generally are not held under oath, which is why it’s so dumb that Trump keeps complaining about how Hillary‘s interview with the FBI wasn’t under oath. |
Woah. Liberal lawyer here. And I’m pissed about the appointments. And any judicial nominees that get caught up in probe should be. But you garden variety super conservative judge who has themselves done nothing wrong? No they can’t be. And shouldn’t be. The standard is high crimes and misdemeanors. By the judge. Not Trump. I get. The anger. And I feel the anger. But going down the path of impeaching judges who have been confirmed by the Senate and not committed a crime is unconstitutional. |
Aren't the champagne corks popping a tad prematurely? Trump has slithered unscathed out of every scandal since he started running for president. |
I’m sorry. Treason is now a “technicality”. ![]() |
