Do you ever look at a "hot" celeb and realize they aren't really attractive?

Gorgeous in her youth.

Her eyes seem really far apart to me. But she’s prettier than I am!

Cameron is no beauty just cute, all American girl next door, but then again shes never been known to be a true beauty.
Jennifer Aniston i think is pretty but sometimes overrated. I mean she was voted the worlds most beautiful by People mag.

In the last 10 years having been to the Hamptons (where my brother lives part of the year)I saw many celebrities.
The ones who disappointed
Gwenyth Paltrow really homily but good body
Christy Brinkley (had way too much surgery)
Catherine Zeta Jones looked very pretty (actually saw her in NYC)

The ones that looked good
Andie McDowall
Kate Capshaw (but too much makeup)
S J Parker lets just say not attractive

Most of these people are older, they're not going to look "hot" anymore. It would be more meaningful if someone who had seen them in their youth could attest that they weren't really that good looking.

I also do not think Chrissy Tiegan nor Ayesha Curry are very attractive women.

(And I am Asian!)

They both have kind of flat faces, w/large mump-like cheeks.
Kind of how a hamster looks when he stores all his food in his cheeks.
But they both have absolutely stunning spouses so I may be missing something upstairs.

Mariah Carey has gained a ton of weight & her face looks bloated too.

I think Kim Kardashian & Paris Hilton are both insanely pretty even though a lot of people seem to dislike them a lot.

I think T.I. is super cute, but his wife (or is it ex now?!) is very ugly.
She looks like a bad Muppet.

Her face is just unattractive plus she is short + kinda stocky too.
But she acts like she is all that (plus a bag of potato chips) and her daughter is actually VERY beautiful so my opinion may be in the minority here.

Britney Spears has a pretty face and a very fit body. Many DCUMers would love to be that in shape.

Lindsay Lohen.

Even when she was young, I never understand what the fuss was about. In her heyday, she was an alright looking "girl-next-door," and quickly transitioned into Norma Desmond.

The lead singer of Maroon 5.

He's an average looking guy who gets a big boost from being a "skinny rock star." He also looks like he eats a bowl of Valtrex every morning.

I used to really not get the love for Leo - I don't know what it is, he just doesn't have it, though I did like him in Titanic (and really think Rose could have scootched over a little on that door!).

But there's a scene in The Great Gatsby where he's wearing a sweater and linen slacks that he just looks amazing in. He looked god in most of Gatsby, but the scenes with the sweater shifted him over to swoon worthy for me.

I think the problem is he looks like he NEEDS to eat that bowl of Valtrex. I LOL @ his oxy commercial... that was one unattractive rat-faced dude- is it any reason he shagged around so much when he finally could get some?

Was she ever considered hot?

Hairstylists and make up people do wonders with actresses. I remember seeing a picture of Faith Hill at LAX a few years ago without makeup or her hair done and she looked terrible. I think there are very few natural beauties out there with Michelle Pfeifer being one of them ad Jessica Biel.

have not seen great gatsby, but the only movie I ever saw him in where I was like "Oh, ok - he's not bad looking" was The Departed

Leo definitely peaked in The Departed.

That was the sweet spot when his face hardened just enough to balance out the pretty boy looks, but before he started transitioning into a leprechaun.

Anonymous wrote:Mark Wahlberg. I just don't get it, he looks like a townie schlub. Actually, the whole Wahlberg clan is ugly.

Mark walhberg instantly turned ugly in my eyes after it came out that he was convicted of beating a Vietnamese man almost to death while screamingly racial epithets at him when he was a teenager. He blinded the guy and then years later, tried to get a liquor license for his restaurant but couldn't because he's a convicted felon.

Apparently, he didn't actually blind him, though he did attack and viciously beat the guy. He was a violent, racist, thug in his youth.

Do you think he's actually any less racist now as a middle aged man? Probably not. He's disgusting.
