I'm not excusing his past crimes, but yes, I think he's less racist now than he was as an ignorant teenager. |
I don't think SJP is ugly and don't understand why people are so critical of her appearance. She's not conventionally pretty but she has great hair, a nice figure and a girlish/appealing manner. I don't think her persona was ever as the "hot girl"-more of a quirky type. She comes across as a very nice, thoughtful person in interviews. |

I will never understand the Johnny Depp crushes. soooo many women adored him. He's not masculine, he's tiny, self-conscious, he's a complete phony. Ugh. |
Jackie Kennedy had that same too big space between her eyes. |
I never understood why Prince was considered sexy—too short/skinny/feminine/sparse facial hair. And wearing all those frilly clothes... |
I agree. She's not a beauty now, but she was quite attractive in her prime, back in the 1990s. Google her if you don't believe me. Age hardened her face, which accentuated its equine dimensions, but she always seems well put-together and is impressively fit. I think the "meanness" is the usual backlash to celebrity over-hype. On Sex and the City, she was presented as being effortlessly stylish, wearing expensive, designer clothes, and being, inexplicably, the constant subject of pursuit by rich suitors. This seemed implausible to many people. |
Back before the Internet, people didn't realize how tiny he was. He had a reclusive and mysterious way about himself and projected an image of a virile sex fiend. And being an extraordinarily talented rock star certainly helped. |
Speaking of her, I do NOT understand why she is making such a huge deal of the accident she had and the stitches her face required. What is going on with her?? |
Agree!! Everyone I know was crazy over him, but I never was. His mouth is teeny tiny and he just looks like he takes himself waaaaay too seriously. |
YES. I honestly never really looked at him as a "man." He was more like a My Little Pony. |
Haha. I enjoyed his music, but I agree. I tried to watch purple rain a couple years ago, and it was so ridiculously awful. The idea that house women would throw themselves at that little twerp...oy |
Oops. Hot women, not House. Wtf, phone? |
They did though. Plenty of fuggo men got incredible attention from women because they were rock stars. Even their roadies got in on the action. Today, being a rock star doesn't seem like such a big deal, but back before the Internet, it was like being a god. |
OMG yes about Jackie Kennedy. |
