DCPS made Deal take dozens of OOB, despite overcrowding

PP was mistaken above when they said Eaton students started being forced to feed to Hardy this year. That is incorrect. It has always been an option for them but they start feedlif solely to Hardy next year. We are at Hardy and it is a terrific school. We are already seeing significant bumps in scores from the changing student body ( my child and the nearly 30 student cohort from Stoddert, etc). If Eaton families are going to come to Hardy kicking and screaming I would much rather they not come. We’re doing just fine without them.

I am a parent at Janney and I really wish our kids could feed into Kramer. Would be lovely to be near the Anacostia River and Park, and so convenient to swing over and catch a Nats game.

Have fun clinging to Hardy's urban school uniforms and "unique culture."

Not PP, but was going to buy the uniforms ahead of time. I'm not afraid of uniforms or "unique culture". DC is happy-go-lucky kid and will do fine in Hardy. That's his IB and that's where he is going. The school is near and not overcrowded. They have the same curriculum that other DCPSs. I'm a foreigner, am I missing something? The kid doesn't need anything extra or special. I feel like some posters are trying to scare us every time Hardy comes up. He doesn't need what's considered " the best". I truly believe that the teachers will push him if they see he is capable. The small size of the school should be a benefit.

DCUM has more weird information and posters about Hardy. Just ignore the trolls, racists, and the people still living in the 1980s.

Yes, PP, whenever you read the repetitive scare mongering about uniforms and the clearly racist “unique culture” phrase you are dealing with the same troll who has an ax to grind for whatever reason. Please just try to ignore. They offer no current, relevant insight. They simply want Hardy to fail. Hopefully this troll will move on one day. Her children have to go to college sometime, right?

It’s beginning to feel like you’re from the 80s since you post this statement on any and every thread that mentions Hardy. Go away.
