This response from Bannon comes in response to Rose pointing out that the US was conceived as a melting pot. Bannon, um, disagrees. Vehemently.

16. "Economic nationalism is what this country was built on. The American system."
Bannon's argument -- which he goes into slightly more detail on with Rose -- is that the US has to look out for itself and its manufacturing sector, first, second and last. And that people who aren't citizens aren't part of that equation.

I did and while I'm no fan, I didn't hear him say anything evil or wicked so I genuinely want to know what others thought.

Let's start with his America is for "Americans." We all know what he is saying there. It's both evil (profoundly immoral) and wicked (morally wrong). The Catholic bishops responded to his position on immigration by reminding him that his position is immoral. Cardinal Dolan said, "Whatever you do to the least of my brothers you do to me. When I was a stranger -- meaning an immigrant or a refugee -- you welcomed me.'" Bannon has a seriously damaged moral compass.

he is right on target. we have damaged the next generation with our immigration policy, give the middle class a giant middle finger. but the educated elite, like you, get to have your cheap lettuce and organic strawberries. screw the low skilled workers.

we are supposed to import millions of guest workers, give them green cards, over helping our neighbors?
