So we know much of the land should not be built on and there are about 600,000 illegals in Houston proper. So subtract out any housing stock for illegals ...

You are an idiot and problem is even idots get to spew their idiocy in forums thinking they are some smart intelligentsia.

You have no clue about even the basics of surveys and polls clearly exposed by you saying " most people don't participate in surveys". And then you went on to talk crap about something unintelligible. The saving grace America gets smarter immigrants to replace idiots all the time. Good bye.

What is unintelligible about 40 houses uphill NOT flooding and 31 downhill to a bayou flooding? Illegal immigrants live somewhere and therefore use available housing stock. They deserve rescues and shelters but not any funding for losses and replacement housing. As per fema they have to have an anchor in the household. DACA's can be old enough to have produced anchors.

You are an individual who has no clue about resource allocation. Land and housing in an area that has 3 500 year floods or more in a few years? If there are 1000 units available for displaced persons and 1500 family units need housing should any units go to illegals? no.

DACA does have an endpoint on applications. The oldest had to have been born after June 15, 1981 and been continuously residing in the USA from June 15, 2007 through June 15 , 2012. Since I'm now considered an idiot please direct me to any DACA anchor baby estimates.

You were talking about the wall and once that became untenable and you couldn't defend that, you moved to another topic. No one said that illegal residents should be preferred over American citizens and permanent residents.

I was not posting about the wall. Every dollar of aid or resource directed to an illegal is one dollar less for US citizens. Nor do I find this forum untenable.

One anchor baby allows FEMA post shelter recovery grants to flow. http://www.pbs.org/newshour/bb/wake-harvey-houstons-undocumented-community-faces-uncertainty/

If a household has DACA's and no anchors the money won't flow.

I do agree that we should make sure every American family has housing before we start with the illegal immigrants.

I don't think anyone would aruge with you about homeless people, but here's the thing, many homeless people are either addicts or have mental issues.

1. Reagan shutdown all the government run mental hospitals which flooded the streets with the mentally ill.
2. Trump and Rs want to remove from essential benefits of insurance plans "addiction and substance abuse" coverage.
3. Trump and Rs don't believe in welfare, and want to cut it left and right.

You could kick out every illegal immigrant, but because of those issues above, you will still not be able to house every homeless American.
