April Ryan, White House correspondent for American Urban Radio Networks, a black-owned radio network that creates programming for 300 stations with primarily black audiences?

She was doing her job.

Meanwhile still waiting for a Hispanic and Asian White House Correspondent to be named.

I don't understand what this means. Are you under the impression that there is an official "black" White House correspondent?

Maybe you don't know what White House correspondents are. They are journalists/reporters/correspondents who are assigned by their media outlets to the White House. They make up the White House press corps. Because correspondents report for and are paid by different media outlets, they tend to be interested in issues that interest their outlets' viewers/readers. As noted above, April Ryan is the correspondent for a media outlet that has a primarily black audience, so she tends to be interested in issues that interest those listeners. Likewise, Janet Rodriguez is the White House correspondent for Univision and tends to be interested in issues that interest her mostly Spanish-speaking viewers. Cho Yi-jun covers the White House for one of the major newspapers in South Korea, and Emel Bayrak reports for Turkish Radio and Television. Guess what? They're interested in issues that affect South Korea and Turkey, respectively.

So rest assured, there are White House correspondents who are Hispanic and Asian.

There are probably more people in India and Pakistan who speak/read/write English in India that there are in the UK and Australia - admittedly accented English but then Australians speak accented English and even within the UK there are multiple accents which in some instances Americans would have a problem comprehending eg the Yorkshire accent or Cockney accent - quite apart from a Scottish or Welsh accent.

Only about 10% of Indians speak any level of English and only .02% are native speakers. Pakistan is a lot less. There are more English speakers in Mexico than Pakistan.

10% of 1.2 billion is 120 million or double the population of the UK

Ouch! #Highfive

How about actually reading? The 10% is not fluent speakers or even proficient speakers. That's any level of English, not the 60% proficient Miller wants. Almost all U.K. Speakers will be at the 60% level.

No way - outside of the Home Counties, U.K. Speakers are NOT at that level.

Dirty scousers from Liverpool are the worst.

Cheryl cole's Geordie accent was so unintelligible, American tv needed to put subtitles for her

He absolutely does, not even a question.

Nothing about the proposed policy change is overtly racist. Opponents of the policy diminish their arguments by asserting without evidence that there is racism where there is none. It is important to make assertions based on evidence.

I doubt President Trump was impressed. It was a poor performance by Miller. Trump knows it will not play well on television.

This is a comically bad reading of Trump. Trump has no idea what plays well on television. I would bet a large sum of money that he was thrilled when he watched the briefing. It will be only in when talking heads and comedians start ripping Miller for his little performance that Trump will get angry.

Donald Trump's grandfather, who didn't speak German and was penniless, would not be allowed into the country under these rules.

Neither would Melania.

Trump is president because he understands communicating on television. Miller was talking too fast and said "Jim" way too many times. He did not deliver his lines well. Trump has seen enough people like him on the Apprentice to know it was a rough afternoon.

Due to Miller's failure to communicate effectively, Mooch now has an opening to get back in the good graces of the man he loves. Obviously Mooch cannot become a White House staffer again but he could be an informal and influential adviser like the tall guy who ran the campaign initially and David Bossie.

Where we watching the same thing? That session will be on every show tonight and the CNN reporter looked like an idiot. That was fun!

Obtuse responses from Miller that lacked any substance. I guess intellectual dishonesty is common for 30 year old white supremacist virgins.

Who was raised on the mean streets of Santa Monica and educated in the hardscrabble halls of Duke University. And who goes around calling kids from Annandale High School "cosmopolitan."

Note, too, that Jim Acosta's father emigrated from Cuba.

That Stephen Miller appeared not to know this going into the briefing is a reflection of how poorly he was prepared by the Comms team for this briefing. It is Miller's job to know the substance of the proposed policy. it is the job of the comms team to make sure media has appropriate written background and that the briefer has been mooted on which reporters will likely ask questions what kind of questions on the policy. Qs from Acosta on the English language aspect seem obvious and it's weird that Miller didn't have a smoother prepared response. i hope Kelly recognizes that this is the kind of hostility and explanation that is making it hard to get any Trump agenda passed. (Or, actually, I hope Kelly doesnmt realize it, because it effectively gins up grassroots opposition to these stupid policies and health care has shown us what can be accomplished when the grassroots show up at town halls).

Would have been more effective if you spelled airborne correctly, dunce.

Nope. Try again. Stop being poorly educated.

One symptom of this virus is excessive aggression?

Mrs. Miller, I hardly think you are in a position of impartial evaluation of Stephen's performance, but I am sure his boss was super happy with it.

Not sure if you thought this was his wife or his mother.

Lol if you think this guy is married.

Double lol if you think his family is speaking with him (they're not).

Miller can pull any woman he wants. Most powerful young bachelor in DC.

I think if Miller wanted to deliver talking points to racist, xenophobic idiots he did a good job.

Fortunately, he also reminded the rest of us why no one really gives a shit what racist, xenophobic idiots say.

There's no solid policy here (there doesn't need to be!). It's just a distraction from the fact that Trump can't deliver and lied his ass off when he pretended he could.

Jim Acosta just left his wife of 24 years & kids because he's famous now, so he started chasing skirts. Chastising Trump when he's just as immoral and scummy.
