Any chance this ends with revolution

Have you even read the constitution? Federalist? And anti federalist papers?
The founders would've shut this down the moment they saw the connection with Putin.

Sorry, but they expected the citizens to second amend and not live with tyranny. I personally think Trump is too dumb to excite full on dictatorship etc.. But Putin is crazy like a fox. The old repubs get it. Just these angry flyover folks can't see the forest for the trees (Trees being Obamas race) to their own detriment.

This is the crap you get when Broadway mixes with politics. A bunch of liberals who see Hamilton and think they know it all

Cute. I've still not seen Hamilton. I'm more a Jefferson fan -op

Have you read Ron Chernow's book Alexander Hamilton? If you have and still are a Jefferson fan I'm not too sure of you! If you haven't Jefferson was a hypocrite slave owner who didn't free his slaves when he died. Plus, he was an elitist who claimed he didn't want political power but, got others to do the political dirty work. Even when Hamilton was sick with yellow fever he claimed Hamilton was faking it! Still he was slightly better than Burr who had no moral compass and only wanted political power. Jefferson saw himself as a "simple farmer" when really he loved his lavish life in France! And got his slaves to do the planting.

To all those who don't get the musical I was once one of you. Then I actually listened and was blown away by Lin-Manuel's talent and genius. That man is "Non-Stop" We got tickets for Chicago in July and I can't wait!

Yes, the dude's name is Jorin Burr and most likely he is related to Burr ( but not directly since there are no direct descendants) He is dead wrong about Hamilton since what he said about him was true than it wasn't "all lies" Also, George Washington and Thomas Jefferson didn't trust Burr either. Hamilton was the one who never shied away from sharing his feelings and really wrote a lot so we know what he was thinking.

Aaron Burr has got to be one of the worst people in America. Everyone should read Chernow's book as it describes in detail all his misdeeds. He lived to aged 80 and never said he regretted killing Hamilton! He didn't care about the seven orphans or making Eliza a widow. Married a wealthy women ( Eliza Jumel ) only for her money but, she discovered it and divorced him. Arrested for treason. Started up the Manhattan company supposed to help with water in nyc but it was secretly a bank. Had no moral compass and said and did whatever to get into power. Had no moral compass. Total loser.

Loved the Chernow book - great read. Must say, reading this post I'm reminded that this time in our history wasn't the only f-cked up time in our country. Somehow it's bizarrely reassuring.

I'm not reading his book about George Washington. Also great!

I saw the musical and it was good, but I have seen much better on the West End. Americans really have limited ability to teach acting properly. The Brits know how to teach acting. The best shows on Broadway are those with imported Brit talent -- Helen Mirren, Bill Nighy, Sienna Miller, Rupert Grant, Daniel Radcliffe, Rachel Weisz, Mark Rylance, Dan Stevens, and so many more. You had to even get an Israeli to play Jackie Kennedy.

hmmm are you British living in America? If you are I am so sick of Brits telling how superior they are to us. All of the actors in Hamilton are very talented. If you don't like America than please go back to Great Britain and enjoy your British actors. I have nothing against them but, there are tons of talented American actors and you just painted a broad brush.

I am American. There are a limited number of good actors in America and no one in the cast of Hamilton is even among them.

And you are saying this because .... you have seen the show? Having seen the show, I'd disagree. We must have different definitions of "good actors", assuming you even know enough about the cast of Hamilton to fill a pinhead.

Agree. Funny how Hamilton sort of fell off the radar.

Yes. I saw the show in preview and on Broadway. The actors singers and dancers are Broadway standard good. They are not great. The show is good and successful because it skews to the demographics that Broadway has to attract to continue.

Opera, ballet, and symphonies are trying to emulate Broadway to attract young audiences because this and stage entertainment are out of favor and very expensive

Cultural offerings are successful when they have mass appeal. That is the case with Hamilton. I suspect you have limited exposure to stage and other cultural offerings and have little to compare to Hamilton and overrate it. .

Not only are they insane, they are also increasingly violent.

Its not because of a lost election. Its because of an unfit conman who is siding with Russia and appointing at least a few completely unqualified people to head agencies they hate.

For starters...

Part of me wants to hug you, because you do not know war or of what you speak. The other part wants to shoot you, because you do not war or of what you speak.

If I see a weapon in your hand; or your arms open for an embrace; my decision will be made.
