Any chance this ends with revolution

I'm fine at this point with a peaceful breakup

No way in hell the GOP dominated states would let those in the coastal enclaves go without a fight. GOP reps love to tax Blue States and redistribute to their impoverished constituencies.

You've got that completely backwards.

Thanks obama.

Sorry but what part of a year ago did you not understand? The divide happened with Trump.

NP. Absolutely, it did not. The divide started 8 years ago when Barack Obama entered the WH. It's been a downward slide ever since. You've just been asleep through most of it.

Have you even read the constitution? Federalist? And anti federalist papers?
The founders would've shut this down the moment they saw the connection with Putin.

Sorry, but they expected the citizens to second amend and not live with tyranny. I personally think Trump is too dumb to excite full on dictatorship etc.. But Putin is crazy like a fox. The old repubs get it. Just these angry flyover folks can't see the forest for the trees (Trees being Obamas race) to their own detriment.

This is the crap you get when Broadway mixes with politics. A bunch of liberals who see Hamilton and think they know it all

I just saw a clip. It's the most ridiculous musical. Let's sing about wiping our asses!

I am so glad to hear others feel this way. You couldn't pay me to see that show.

Um, no. The divide has been growing for years. I think I would peg it back to the mid-90s. Newt and his crew. And all the investigations that basically amounted to zip...except that our prez liked to screw lots of other women.

Internet and cable news started gaining steam in that era. And led us to echo chambers.

And reality tv and the dumbing down of America.

Again, no.

Np, but there are plenty of us who have not seen that show who might actually know a little bit about the constitution and the bill of rights and The intentions of the founding fathers through this amazing thing called SCHOOL. Some of us might have advanced degrees in these topics. Shocking, I know.

Insurrection as in a rogue nation has manipulated our democracy. However nonviolent it appears to be it threatens our country

It will be a peaceful revolution led by women and LGBTQIA who understand what is at stake. We do not need guns but the power of 300 million citizens who have been marginalized by Trunp. We will win by persuasion and peaceful means to the betterment of our country

Yup, agree. Plus there's unabated tribalism now. No matter how egregious or unethical, the Trump supporters stand behind him to the bitter end, even at the destruction of their own interests. There's no role for reason, no checks and balances. The Congress is GOP dominated and they are actively seeking ways to reduce checks and balances our framers put into place. The refusal to nominate a SCOTUS is one example of that.

I obviously don't want a revolution, but Trump and his supporters - and the GOP - have taken us to a point of no return. I don't imagine violence but do wonder if politically and practically we go our separate ways at some point as a nation.

For example, this guy, who loves Trump so much. What happens when he is disappointed?

Are you saying Brown people will get violent because...brown?

Yes they are. Liberals are covertly racist.

It doesn't help that we now have people acting as unabashed apologists for manipulation and hijacking of America's democracy by our mortal enemy, Russia. Party above country, it seems.

Don't twist yourself into a pretzel trying to find some way to convolutedly spin a bogus "liberals are racist" meme...

They don't like to admit patrons in Cheeto-stained wifebeaters. But don't worry, they aren't paying people to see it and you surely can't afford the tickets even after cancelling your subscriptions to Guns & Ammo and Putin Monthly.

Hahahahaha...and people on this board called conservatives who believed this whack jobs.

Funny how the tides turn when your candidate and party's corruption is exposed. I guess liberals aren't for transparency.

Hiding by the action of anti-trump rioters and assaults on Trump supporters, the action of the hateful four in Chicago I predict we're going to see a lot of violence from the left. I'd suspect borderline terrorist action with them attacking trump supports or attempting to kill people at Trump events. We've already seen them acost Ivanka and her kids in a plane. That's just the start. Their hate will explode over the next year.
