Yeah PP, I'm 30 and am a huge Prince fan. He was mega while we were growing up and of course he's just the most fantastic creature ever... How can you have no knowledge or appreciation of who he is?

I was desperately hoping his Piano and a Microphone tour would come to DC so I could see him live. Never gonna happen now and I know I missed out on something big never getting to see him live.

I can't get on the links, but here's a blind I found on another site, they're saying is about Prince:

The blind Item: MediaTakeOut.com just received word that a VERY popular African-American celebrity - who has recently been in the news - now has what is being described as AIDS. He kept the illness quiet but began taking his medication RELIGIOUSLY up until about two years ago. Here's what we're told by a VERY trusted entertainment insider: "[The celebrity] believed that he was cured, and he had some crazy [religious] people who told him that God cured him. So he stopped taking his medication and the sickness came back. Now doctors say he's dying, and there is nothing anyone can do about it." We're told that the celebrity is expected to get sicker and sicker, and eventually pass. It can happen as soon as the summer. Very sad news.

This is in fact the item that was reported on blind gossip. BG cited MediaTakeOut as the source.

I have never been a Prince fan, and I thought when he changed his name to a symbol that he was just another eccentric performer.

But, as I have listened to people who knew him today, I have learned how truly talented he was (playing a slew of instruments) and how charitable he was (but did not seek accolades for it). Seems as if he was more private than eccentric.
I have a newfound respect for this man.

Yeah, that's the text of the blind gossip item - it was credited to Media take out. (I read it again before it was taken down). In re-reading it, it doesn't scream Prince to me, but nearly every single person who posted guessed Prince. He certainly had the extreme sexual past, and yet was very religious.

107.3 is playing non-stop Prince songs. Brings back a lot of memories. I am an 80s / 90s gal and his songs were big in my late teens / early 20s.
