Motto sayings- How many do you have around the house?

Anonymous
I have zero. I was gifted one that said "Bless this home with love and laughter," and got rid of it. It was given to me by a close family member and I've had a bit of guilt about tossing it, especially since the sentiment is clearly positive. I'm over that, as it was very country looking (would have stood out like a sore thumb in my house) and I don't understand gratuitous decorative objects. We have a few carefully chosen pieces of art that are meaningful to my family, which allows me to focus on living my values and not dusting knock knacks or constantly decorating and redecorating my home. That said, you do you, OP. Your home needs to make you and your family happy. No one else.

None. I was just saying last night that her affinity for motto sayings was the one thing I dislike about Joanna Gaines' style (HGtv show Fixer Upper).
