In my home office I have two:
"Be still, and know that I am God" ~Psalm 46:10 <- on an index card on my bulletin board "It's Never Too Late To Have a Happy Childhood" ~Tom Robbins <- a framed 5"x 8" card on a shelf That's it. |
| "We eat because we work." |
| One that I got from a neighbor's trash heap reading "to those who are given much, much is expected." I wonder why they discarded it |
| None. Can't stand that stuff. |
Maybe because of the tortured syntax? |
| I have none. |
| Zero. Although I would totally hang the profanity bunnies on my wall. |
| None. They embarrass me, even in other people's houses. |
|
None.
Can't stand them. |
|
Wait, people really have that stuff in their homes? Not just in trailers and dorm rooms but actual houses?
|
| A home decor trend akin to stenciled borders, Williamsburg Blue and bonnet-wearing geese. |
| I was ready to say I have zero then I realized I do have one, but its unique and composed by an artist / poet friend of mine. If I quote it, anyone who has been in my house will know who I am. |
There was a young man from Nantucket... |
| I actually like them, at least when it is a more personal or interesting quote/message... And even as a design snob, I think some can be very well done/striking. That said, we have none. I think getting the motto & design & placement right would be tricky. |
