Motto sayings- How many do you have around the house?

I always thought these were cute

(but I never actually got them for my home)

In my office I have the classic "Non illegitimi carborundum"

None. They are cheap and tacky and can be found in abundance at Walmart & Target. Not to mention they are hanging in my workplace and the last thing I want to be reminded of while at home is my workplace.

I have one. I actually forget what it says -- something about happiness being a decision or a choice. something like that. it spoke to me at the time, and I wish my MIL would get the message. (she lives with us.)

I actually am surprised everyone else hates them too because I see them all over.

I have a 3x10 inch or so one up high in my kitchen because it's a quote about where I'm from.

I did buy myself one that says "I would like to help you out... which way did you come in" because it's my happy place when one of my clients is annoying. It's on my desk facing me so no one can see it but me. I stare at it and practice my nodding and sympathy/listening face.

None. So cliché.

No giant clocks or maps of Paris either. I like Paris, and have been there several times, but don't need a 3 part map on the wall.

I have on wall decal in the children's room but that is it.
"What you are is God's gift to you. What you make of yourself is your gift to God."
This was a plaque on my childhood home's kitchen window my whole life and I had a quote made for my home when I had children of my own.

I hate the giant signs that are obvious (instructions? Labels?) like Laundry or Eat. Or arrows that point to a wine cabinet and a giant Wine sign

I just assumed these were for people who got lost a lot. "I don't know where I am. OH! That sign says Home, I must be home! What should I do in this room? Eat! So helpful!"

Affirmations are great, I love the motto sayings

We have on that says, "Wag more, bark less" in the mud room where the dog kennels and all of the dog stuff is, but that's it. We got one of those plaques with "House Rules" for Christmas but will probably donate it.

I have this one: and that's it. Don't care if y'all don't like it, it makes me happy when I make my morning coffee.

Just one: It's always darkest just before it goes pitch black.

Zero.

This stuff is so unbelievably tacky, I honestly can't imagine anyone in their right mind 'decorating' their house with them. Ugh.

But I'm not really into having them all over my house, but eh, if people like them whatever.

This reminded me about the one and only in our house. It's a Winnie the Pooh quote I got from a friend when my son was born. I do love Winnie the Pooh. But luckily nobody has ever tried to gift me any live laugh love crap.
