Women are jealous of her, plain and simple. |
Did I write this in my sleep. I do not care that she prioritized her work over her family, but her "oh it is so easy" when she can hire tons of help and break her own rules ( working from home, bringing kids to work) has the potential to negatively Impact how workers treat parents. The U.S. is already so behind when it comes to flexibility for parents. |
I'm sorry, where does she say "oh it's so easy?" Would it be professional for a new CEO to go on and on about her personal problems? As a professional woman, I would not do that if I were her-- it's one thing when you are older, like the Pepsi CEO who spoke recently about work life balance. And maybe Sheryl Sandberg since she's made it part of her career (and she's not the CEO). I doubt she is still bringing her child to work. I'm sure it was a temporary thing while her baby was small. Why are people holding her to a double standard? We don't care when male CEOs have private jets, golf memberships, expense account dinners and other shareholder waste but a woman CEO wants to install a nursery in her office suite (assuming at her own expense)? She's the CEO!!! Give her some respect. |
Jealous of what exactly? Seriously, what are women jealous of? I do not want what she has, nor do I want to do what she is doing. What I find disturbing is that she eliminated particular perks for her employees, yet is availing herself of those very same things. I am also disappointed that she did not avail herself of the opportunity to make some strides for a family friendly workplace and she instead took away perks that helped in that area. Then she has all these babies that she is bringing to work -- are her employees bringing their babies and nannies to work? I really hate to see women in power positions lauded as such great achievers and examples of what women can do when really all they are doing is re-hashing the same old corporate elite bullshit that sucks for families -- men and women. |
Are you smoking crack? People complain and protest and disparage that corporate bloating all the time. When companies are downsizing and the head honchoes get everything and the worker bees, who do all the damn work, get left out in the cold -- you don't hear people complain about this???? Are you living in a bubble??? PEOPLE ARE SICK AND DAMN TIRED OF THE UBER WEALTHY, CORPORATE ELITE BLOATING BULLSHIT DOUBLE-STANDARD - WHETHER YOU HAVE A UTERUS OR NOT! |
EXACTLY!!! |
+1 to all of this. She's no more a 'hard worker' than a single mom who works as a nurse and scrimps and saves to send her kids to college. She's no more a hard worker than a SAHM who gave up her career to focus on her family. She's no more a hard worker than a DC attorney who hires a nanny for her kids. We're all moms and we all make choices that work best for us. She comes across as thinking she is way better than the rest of us. Ick |
YES -- thissssss!! |

"most overpaid ceo in history" - yep. "she'd be out of the job in 6 months if she wasn't pregnant with twins - yep" |
I was just reading this and was going to post it, but you beat me to it . The guy really made some good points, but he may be looked at negatively for attacking a women.
|
You sound like you don't understand young children or the mother/child bond. I hate to judge a woman, society judges us if we work, SAH or anything in between, but you seem too cold to have kids. I hope DH is warm at least. |

I wonder who she's fucking to keep her horrific job. She's only second to fiorina in failure. |
Nobody. Yahoo's business has been worth less than nothing since around 2010, due to quirks in it's structure. IMO, she's a horrible CEO, but this just points to errors in the stock market's valuation. |

she's such a clown:
http://recode.net/2015/11/11/marissa-mayers-convoluted-yahoo-strategy-theres-no-place-like-home/ she's putting women back 50 years for leadership roles in corp america |
| And she actually did give an interview where she bragged about how her first baby was extremely easy and always slept through the night. she basically said she didn't know what all the other women were complaining about |
