Why do people do this?

I think it’s bizarre. I guess he doesn’t worry about running out of his bedroom at night in event of fire, tornado, or other emergency-

What do you mean end thread?

You don't know why your 15 year old son likes to sleep naked? Seriously?

You really don't know why your 14 year old son likes to sleep naked? It's accessibility.

Finally, someone who understands teenage boys!! Where does she think that spunky smell comes from in his bedroom?

Absolutely! This is my biggest concern. I sleep in overalls with my fire extinguisher and life vest. You can't be too careful these days.

Same here. I can't sleep in the nude, I just get cold and don't feel comfortable but DS (16) gets hot easily and feels constricted if he is not nude in bed.

Yes different people are comfortable with different things nothing wrong with that.

Same with my DS (13).

+1. Same with my DS (13). I sleep in pajamas. I am always cold.

On the coldest nights, I don't need to touch my ice-cube feet to his body, just put them nearby and they are warmed up as if next to a fire. Spouse says he can't imagine wearing clothes to bed, because he would be sweating so much. I assume the same for son

Same in my household.

Exactly the same with my DS (13). The most important thing is that he is comfortable and gets a good night sleep.

When I started as a teen, there was something enjoyably "naughty" about it (probably just because I kept it a secret from my parents), but 20 years later, I just like the way it feels. It's hard to describe to somebody who's never slept in the nude, but once you get used to it (not just on special occasions, but every night over a period of several weeks/months/years), the novelty wears off and you just never want to wear clothes to bed again.

Why not follow the lead of your son and give it a try to see for yourself? What could be the harm?
