Agree, peer group and socials pushing it a well, as manly.

There are of course lots of exceptions but to some extent, I think there is. Both DH and DS (14) sleep in the nude while I and DD (16) wear sleepwear.

Yes in general I agree. It's the same in this household.

Not wearing underwear!

Been commando ever since I hooked up with a married woman and slipped out the back, leaving my boxers behind.

I think it's kind of a teenage boy thing. Neither me, DH nor DD (17) sleep that way but both sons (13 and 15) do for some reason.

A 15 year old at a sleepover? No
A 15 year old at a sleepover wearing PJs? Giant NO

Yes I think underwear and perhaps a t-shirt will do.

Can't imagine not wearing panties at the very least. All kind of body fluids and scents on the bed ...yuck.

I have no strong opinion on this. It’s something that just wouldn’t occur to me to do, and DH doesn’t either. But over the years, I’ve noticed numerous discussions on DCUM about sleepwear, and unless the same few people are answering repeatedly, it seems that sleeping naked is considered very normal around here. If you do it regularly, what is so special about it? How old were you when you started (i.e. is it at all unusual for a 15yo)?

I’m really not a prude. Just wondering.

Maybe its' a little unusual that your son is so outspoken but I don't think it's that strange for a boy his age to sleep like that.

yes, it's not a big issue.

That is my experience too.

My DS (13) has started doing that too. I could never sleep that way but as long as he is comfortable and puts clothes on before leaving his room, I guess it's not a big issue.
