Intestinal worms. . .I nearly passed out

I'm honestly feeling a panic attack coming on. Signing off and never looking back. But hope you feel better OP!

There's actually evidence that worms are beneficial to humans. I have severe allergies and have wanted worms for years and have discussed with my doctor.

oh my god

Along the same lines as worms and diseases, don't take lightly the hand-washing stations at petting zoos and farms. I know someone who got roundworm(?) from Butlers Farm. Any petting zoo or place where you can touch an animal has a high potential of speading bacteria and disease. Especially with sippy cups and snacks for toddlers, don't eat them around places where there are farm animals. Wait until you're finished with the animals, wash hands, then go somewhere else to snack.

Why the hell did I click on and read this post. For the love of all things good just why?

Instead it would make its way to the nearest exist , crawl out, and die. You can imagine my horror when DH woke me up freakingiut as the worm crawled out of my mouth.

OH MY GOD!!! That is the stuff of nightmares!

FWIW, I had worms when I was little (like 4 or 5). Gross... but I remember digging in there at night due to itching then watching them crawl on my finger. My mom didn't believe me for the longest time, but I remember finding out I probably got them from hours of being outside barefoot. Never gone out barefoot again, nor will my children.

OMG, you're an idiot. You did not get pinworms from walking around outside while barefoot. Pinworms are INGESTED

Why are going to crush the mellow morbidness of this thread? There are no idiots here. Just a bunch of freaked out people scratching at phantom butt worms.

why the organic one in particular?

Well the intent of organic farming is to use less pesticides, so ergo, organic produce is more likely to contain parasites/parasite eggs. Some organic farming practices such as using untreated human manure fertilizer (legal in Canada and Mexico and likely other parts of the world) can transmit parasite eggs (often microscopic) to the harvested produce.

Well, if you really would like to be grossed out, google the following terms: Ascaris (males can reach 1 foot in length), Ascaris lifecyle, and Ascaris anesthesia.

Nooooo please. I buy organic everything. WTF

Sorry this is happening to you op. I had pinworm in Jr high. It's quite contagious. I remember my butt itching for a bit but I didn't make the connection. Anyway all was well after I took the medicine and washed the sheets and clothes in hot water.

Pinworm sufferer here - I am willing to bet that if everyone on this thread bought that stuff from Amazon and actually took it as directed, you might be surprised at what comes out! Many many people have worms and don't realize it - yes even us educated and highly paid individuals!

Can't hurt! If you're feeling off or fatigued and doctors are not able to DX the problem, take an anti-parasitic!

WTF. Airborne worms and worms coming out of your mouth? Excuse me while I go vomit.

I don't know why I keep coming back to this thread! LOL

My husband thought he had worms and I asked my doctor about it and she said it was highly unlikely that we did. We both took the Pin-X stuff and nothing came out of me, thank god.

Oh my gosh. My daughters is doing the "Adventures on the Farm" camp at Frying Pan Farm this summer for one week. I am going to have a heart attack.

Well actually its the eggs of the pinworms that are microscopic and airborne. Inhale it or breath it in with your mouth open and bam, you've got worms.

Organic doesn't use fewer pesticides. It uses different pesticides. But they often aren't as effective and require many more applications. So, bugs.

Food-grade diatomaceous earth will get rid of them even if you didn't know you had them. Very beneficial for other things also. Dead cheap on Amazon.
