Impressed with Zendaya and her response to having her hair style associated with drug culture

Hygiene is the problem here. White, black,Asian or Hispanic with dreads=smelly situation/nothing to do with race.

Incorrect.
I wear my hair loc'd. It is washed and maintained regularly and there is no offensive odor. Many of my professional friends also take immaculate care of their hair. This "stereotype" is highly offensive.

Don't speak on what you don't know.

A black hippie as much as a white hippie. I could've seen Giuliana making the same comment if a white chick had the same outfit and dreads.

Except that when Kylie Jenner wore dreadlocks Giuliana apparently said they were edgy, not smelly.

Yeah dreads aren't smelly if they are well maintained. I dated a guy who was the hippie type and hie had the natural body odor about him but he didn't stink. His dreads didn't smell either.

Don't know anything about her but she's so pretty!

I recently read somewhere that GR's "joke" about Zendaya's hair was written for her by E! Writers, and that it was edited in such a way that left out other key words that referenced hippie culture. The bottom line of the story is that E! Was letting GR take a major fall for the whole thing, when they had a lot to do with it themselves. If true, wow, I am impressed that GR isn't pointing out those facts to people (origin of "joke," poor editing) and solely shouldering the blame.
