I'm very protective of young infants and I would not be happy with someone with a cold or any other virus coming into my house around a newborn. Or, frankly, when my kids were even under 2.

There are so many reasons why I would not "invite" people to "help" me with my household chores. Since you don't seem to understand that, perhaps you need to understand that inviting people to do your stuff may actually end up inconveniencing you in other ways.

when my dd was newborn, my really good friend came over with a very sick child. I did not let her in the house. sorry. No way!
