Do people in Arlington honestly believe their neighborhoods are comparable to Bethesda or Chevy Chase? What a joke. Bethesda and Chevy Chase are sophisticated and upscale, Arlington is like a Virginia Tech reunion.

The typical Bethesda resident is down to earth, lives in a 500-700K 1950s split and does not try to associate with four square blocks of actual historic homes way out near Chevy Chase Circle to infer "elan". I have lived in both areas, as well as Alexandria, and believe me when I say N. Arlington and Bethesda are far more alike than they are different. To deny this is silly.
